  1. filmscorea2.sib There we go. Hope that's worked. It's just its the start of one of my A2 Music compositions, and eventually i'll have to transfer it to CD. Last year i had to do a bit of jiggery-pokery with a microphone and a speaker to record it so the quality was a bit worse. My teacher said export the midi out of it, but when i tried that i got the trouble i'm on about. And thanks for having a look :)
  2. I've recently tried to export the midi file out of Sibelius for one of my compositions (i've tried it on sibelius 4 and 5) but it doesn't seem to work!! It creates a music file fine, but when you play it, it's just silence. I've checked all the volume controls and stuff and they're all fine. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance. :P
  3. Yes, I'm just at the moment trying to come up with a melody. But we have to do two compositions this year so I'm doing the other (a swing band piece) to concentrate on at the moment. I have Sibelius 4/5 and i'll be sure to check the updates!! Thank you.
  4. Can I ask about techniques you used in this piece? It's just that I'm doing A2 Music and one of my assignments is to write a film score, and this year, the task involved space type music including, and i quote "a broad expansive theme with an element of the mysterious". I'm thinking along the lines of a horn/trumpet slow-ish melody with some kind of timps and strings, is there anyway that you could help me? What software did you use to create this? Many thanks, DomTre
  5. is there any chance you could add an attachment with the exported version of it? I mean, it says on my sibelius that it was made with sibelius 5, could you save it for sibelius 4 so i can have a listen please? thanks.
  6. Thanks, help is much appreciated
  7. What kind of files are these .nwc and .mus files? I've never seen them before, what do I need to open them? I've only used Sibelius before. Please help.
  8. Good key changes in this, and I can hear a lot of influence from Mario type games in there. It's always good when you can imagination the situation from a piece of music, and yours does exactly that. This is fine, I don't think anything needs changing.
  9. Well I can just imagine the situation with this, but to me, this sounds more like background music to a boss talking to the character rather than an actual intense battle. I like the way you came back to the original theme in the middle of the piece. Maybe just a tad repetitive, and i'm sure that someone would get annoyed with the music at some point (especially if they had to play that level again for example). It's good though, keep going with it :D
