  1. thanks. I was thinking of just playing the second movement for a comp at school. any thoughts?
  2. I added what I guess would be called a second movement. Anywho, please leave feedback, I really want to improve. Storm.sib Storm.mid
  3. I like it so far. Does it have a part for a singer?
  4. In Sibelius is it possible to have a Vibraphone / Bongos part? I want it so there is, for example, 30 bars of Vibraphone, then 2 bars rest, then it changes to a bongo part on the same line. How do I do this? Please help!
  5. Ok, this piece was written quite slowly, then I increased the speed after putting it in the computer. I couldn't be bothered learning it fast. But, I think it sounds cool  short though...but I don't care to expand on it. Panther.mid Panther.sib
  6. what are the 5 instruments you play? and start simple, if you get a good idea, just work at it, and you'll get more accustomed to adding things and deciding what instruments should go with it.
  7. I like it, it's a good melody, but, sometimes it does sound a little busy... the transitions work nicely, I don't like the sound of the MIDI, but, I know that's not your fault.
  8. I had to write a piece for a clarinet, violin, cello, flute and percussion for a competition at school. I nearly have to submit. This is what I have so far. I was thinking about putting in some bongos in one section, but I'm unsure. Any thoughts? *edit* I have added some bongos and tweaked a little since last time. Kooky.sib Kooky.mid
  9. Hey, I wrote this last year, just cause I was insanely bored at school so I wrote something down. And, voila! It turned into this. Anyway, I was just wondering what you thought of it, get some feedback :) ok, thanks in advance! :D Storm (sibelius).mid Storm.sib
  10. if you click on the bar-line, you can drag it around. or, you can drag the chord symbols around to get it into the right spot. Basically, if it's in Sibelius, you can drag it around to wherever you want it :)
  11. no, you can get hats rides and crashes in Sibelius. I'll go check how and tell you. *edit* ok, to get different sounds on the drum kit: 1. input your note wherever you want/think it should go. 2. hold down shift 3. press + and/or - on your keyboard to change the head of the note 4. keep changing until you get the sound you desire.
  12. If you already play saxophone, go for the clarinet. I used to play clarinet and saxophone is pretty similar. It's the closest thing you'll get
  13. I started composing in Year 7, when I was 12 with some random stuff to fill in music class time. But I only really got serious about last year, (14 years old), actually working on stuff, showing it to people and improving it and performing it places.
