Hi all again, I am writing a piano piece this summer and I am having some slight writer's block. I am not a pianist, but I have been playing oboe for 8 years now. This piece is called "Infernal Pyroclasm", it depicts (I guess) the life of a town that has settled on the foot of a volcano; it is a hot, steamy and slow day. I'm trying to depict life, death & destruction and then rebirth of life in the three different motions or (tempos) of the town. In the music, they are: 1) Tense 2a) Slowly but Steady 2b) Clash and 3) Lento. I know that being 3 minutes long, it is very short for a message like that to get across to a person, but it is unfinished work and I am open to any comments, suggestions, criticisms and thoughts.
Thank you, your thoughts are appreciated. :)
James
