My tips are: 1. Never regard Erhu as a Chinese Violin. The high registers of Erhu is not reliable. But there's something more you can do with a Erhu than Violin since it lacks fingerboard. 2. Zhonghu is an esemble instrument used mainly in Chinese symphony orchestra. And don't regard it as a Chinese Viola either ;). 3. Bawu is a reed instrument... that's all i can tell you 4. If you know only a little about Chinese Culture than i suggest you not to write for Guqin. the tuning can dizzy you already

Sorry, your Viola and Cello parts are out of range. Lowest note of Viola is the C below middle and Cello one more C below that.
