  1. My friend and I whipped up a tribute to him. :D
  2. I agree, I would have liked to have heard more harmony as well. Or if it was dissonance you were looking for, look up some of Schoenberg's piano works. Keep up the composing :D
  3. That's really great for a first attempt at a fugue for someone at such a young age. Have you actually learned or performed a fugue before? They are quite tricky, but once you really get to know the piece of music you will understand more how they work harmonically. I liked the way you began with a simple subject, makes life a lot less complicated down the track, although I would have liked to have heard more moving parts against it. Hope this feedback helps, keep up the work!
  4. Very musical, I would very much like to hear more. :)
  5. All the constructive points I wanted to make have already been mentioned, so may I say that this is a delightful piece of music to listen to and even more delightful to play :D It's raining where I am at the moment, and it really set the mood :P Thankyou!
  6. You've captured the style and the features of a Prelude very well, especially the ending, I felt as if something was about to follow, which is a good way for the listener to be feeling if the prelude is preceding another piece. It was very fun to listen to, well done :)
  7. I've been asked to compose a set of celtic style dances for an Irish dance class, and was going for a 5 movement suite. Besides a riverdance, what other kinds of dances are there, and what are the characteristics of these dances musically? Any help would be greatly appreciated :D
  8. Nice to see some Aussies around :P hehe This was a really catchy piece (odd choice of name though hehe) I play the clarinet, and this sounds like a really fun piece, and watching your video it looked like it was enjoyable to play. All I can really say is keep it up, you've got a lot of talent!!
  9. I got Sibelius 5 recently, it doesn't really matter to me what the midi sounds like, but it works great for scoring manuscripts quickly, easily and they look really neat and professional. I haven't actually used Finale though, and would be really interested in trying it out.
  10. Just beautiful. I feel really inspired now!! Haha, I can't really fault that, but if it helps, then you're doing something right, that really made my stressful evening... unstressed again. Have you ever thought of composing for film?
