  1. I use East West Quantum Leap's Symphonic Orchestra (Siliver) and Voices of the Apocalypse. They sound great!
  2. Al Vertice Della Follia - MP3 and Stream at Soundclick Yeah it's been a long time since I've composed anything. Considering I am going to university for photography, it's hard to take the time to write music! But this is my latest composition, and a rather "large" one- this piece utilizes an orchestra, full chorus, and piano! "Al Vertice Della Follia", or "The Pinnacle of Madness", is what may lead to several more chorus-orchestral pieces. I've always thought about writing a Requiem/Mass but never really got around to it. I think the strings steal the show here. They are constantly moving in sixteenth notes with barely a rest between sections (especially the violas). The brass and woodwinds act as more of an accent than anything else. Anyhoo, enough babble. Give it a listen and let me know what you think!
  3. Wow, so it has been a long time since I've logged in here. Not one month, two months, or three months. More like, three...years? But yeah, I'm back, and I've got some new stuff to share. First off, a nice little Piano piece with strings (gotta love strings). Fantasia for Piano and String Orchestra I am just *dying* to have this piece performed live, or at least having someone else play the piano part. I tried my best to tweak the expressions and dynamics with my program, but it just doesn't match the true emotion of a live performance. Anyhoo, give it a listen! I'll appreciate your comments. Cheers, -Geoff.
  4. Ooooh, i see. Thanks!
  5. I have no formal training of music composition, orchestration, or theory. I'm a self-taught composer and i only started when i was 13 (i'm 15 now). Basically, if you have an ear for music, and if you have alot of ideas- nothing is limiting you.
  6. When making music in FL Studio, i don't spend alot of time thinking up of file names. That's why. So, when exporting this particular harpsichord piece, the one word that came up was "partita", because harpsichords are usually used in partitas, right?
  7. http://gamingforce.com/xchange/data/userwo...533_partita.mp3 Very short- could possibly be used as a piano/harpsichord study. You can tell i ran out of ideas and inspiration towards the end ;) -Geoff.
  8. I love video game music. In fact, it was video game music that inspired me to compose my own music. I find it easier to listen to than classical music, because video game music is simple; it's beauty in bite-sized pieces. It can be upbeat, slow, sad, happy- so many varieties and emotions in like, one soundtrack. I'm intimidated by classical because i guess my ear just wasn't trained to be able to appreciate it. Moonlight Sonata, Canon, Toccata and Fugue are the only classical pieces i actually like. Everything else is....meh. Oh, and Video game music CAN be performed live. Infact, there's a video game music concert tour being held right now. Apparently it's going to play in my city but i'm probably not going to be able to attend.
  9. Lol, thanks for your comments This piece was made for a game, so you're not meant to really focus on it. But thanks for your comments, i'll keep em in mind when actually writing a serious composition.
  10. I usually never write classical sounding pieces, so this new composition is sorta special! I classify it as baroque, but i honestly have no idea what kind of era this type of composition would come from. http://www.gamingforce.com/xchange/data/us...77_baroque1.mp3 Enjoy!!!!
  11. Yeah, the site seems to be down right now :P
  12. thanks for your comments!!! Don't worry, i plan to stay here longer- i just didn't have any new compositions and i just kinda forgot about this place...lol
  13. Wow, i haven't posted anything ever since "The Holy Huardian"! Well, here are 2 compos; Bitter Tears is a very 'very' early piece of mine (you can tell by the quality of the samples) yet I still consider it one of my favs, and the other, Lament of Purity, is a more recent string orchestra piece. Enjoi! Bitter Tears Lament of Purity
