  1. I can't hear the audio, as I'm in work. Do you have it in PDF?
  2. Unappreciated composers? Me.
  3. Alternatively, you could use the 'Cantabile' marking, which would imply the same, although the above is correct - the pianist will play this anyway.
  4. Can you post some of your scores as an example?
  5. Yeah, but you don't need to understand water to drink it. You do, however, need to understand music to write it.
  6. How do you expect to HAVE music if it hasn't been MADE?
  7. Hi, I can't play the midi file as I'm at work - what instruments are you using? Doesn't look like a string or wind quintet.... I'm not a morning person, so I'm probably missing something obvious!
  8. Just give it a different title then. Problem solved!
  9. It doesn't really matter. If you can get the result you're looking for by either means, then the question is irrelevant.
  10. I'd be surprised if anywhere let you in with little/no background in theory and no instrument. People have argued on this post that it's about willingness to learn etc, but you need to foundations there to begin with, they won't just let anyone in who's willing to learn. I think it's more important to have a certain level of experience in composition, and a foundation in music theory. In this case, institutes will often disregard whether you play an instrument or not.
  11. I'd just notate it as a semi-breve, and insert text explaining what you'd like. I'd perhaps even notate a tie from the semi-breve as if it's tied to a following note.
  12. Ok... Just to clarify then, you have audio recordings and you need someone to listen to them and notate them? Once that's done, you need help with arrangement and production?
  13. Yeah, it's always such a rush to be a part of the audience when one of your compositions are performed. I had a piece played on national radio several weeks ago, and it was a great boost to hear their comments on it.
  14. What help do you need? What is the project you're working on? If you upload some of the scores, I can have a look at them. Are you looking for someone to perform them as well, or just help with the composition?
