  1. i think that's a very valid point pianoman made, that in a non-salvia state, the piece will seem unstructured and bottom heavy
  2. another piece about salvia It Pulls Me Down And Then I Leave
  3. here's the score http://igorpaltsev.com/anotherwaltz.pdf i wrote it as a jazz waltz in 2002-3 for a girl i liked named dana, recently i figured it would probably work better in a classical setting so this is the result, tamara is the violinist who plays lead on it, the rest is symphobia
  4. yet another waltz

  14. we were given the "mission impossible" theme first in 5/4 and then in 10/8 and then again in 5/4.. the assignment is to write 2 other parts, one of them should substitute the meter through pitch accents and the other can be anything other than playing against the meter.. i've very confused how to accomplish this.. in the second assignment we were provided a 4 bar ground bass in D minor, the first 2 times through all ground bass tones have to be a tetrian triad chord tones, the 3rd and 4th time through every other ground bass tone has to be a tetrian triad chord tone.. we have to add 2 parts to complete the harmonies.. if anyone could please explain this to a newbie it would be very helpful, thank you
