hi..i've got a question for you guys.
I'm wondering if its possible to do a glissando in octaves, double stopped...for violin
the notes i want, in octaves, top notes Bflat,2 octaves above middle C, glissando-ing to the Bflat 1 octave above middle C.
as more and more composers use computing software for notation/composing, the methodology/thought process of a composer becomes less transparent or maybe even lost...
as computing software improves, our composition pallet is also widened.
perhaps what may scare some of us the most is the fact that technology may be so good that it takes away the skill set, and allows what would have been mediocre composers to create above average works.
Hi
Does anyone know how I can get my Sibelius 4 to play with GPO? I just found out that sibelius 4 has its own GPO sibelius edition-which is not the one i bought. unfortunately i bought my GPO off ebay so there's no return on the product for store credit here. so my options are to either upgrade to sibelius 5...which i am considering doing...if i can't find a solution to get this to work.
I've been told by the crew at sibelius to download a VST and use it with a midi yoke (all new terms I learnt tonight). I've downloaded a VST but I can't find a mac compatible midi yoke. Any ideas?
Would love yo hear from ya!
cheers
hi
can someone tell me what steps i need to take to link my korg keyboard to my laptop.
I am using macbookpro and have sibelius installed on it. How do I get the two linked up so I when play on the keyboard, the notes i play will magically appear on the page?
cheers
