  1. When browsing this forum a notice that a lot of people here generally dislike or hate New Age music, such as Yanni, David Arkenstone and others. I personally enjoy some of their pieces of music as they are very soothing and describe places to me. I think New Age music can be quite good at times and quite bad at times. To me all genres of music express a unique feeling and I think it is wrong to say that all New Age music is bad. I was wondering why many people dislike New Age. Is it because it is not complex enough?
  2. Alright, thanks for the clarification.
  3. Thanks everyone for the comments. Mike, I tried replacing the Gb with G natural, and since G natural is not in the key of Bb minor it sounded out of place. I am not sure what you are saying; when the descending melody hits the Gb, the accompaniment in the background is centered around a Bb chord, so there will be some dissonance as it is a Minor 6th interval ( Bb to Gb) but it resolves down to the 5th. Was it another note that you meant that could replace the Gb?
  4. Thanks tenor, this site has been awesome so far.
  5. You should put this on your music profile man
  6. Thanks! I actually do have a score, I will have to find out how to post it on forums as I am kind of new to posting other things besides messages on forums haha. I am using Motu Symphonic Orchestra libraries, and Cubase as a Sequencer. I am actually playing each part because I am too lazy to enter notes in for the comp to play back, so the timing is not perfect 100 percent of the time.
  7. Here is one of my latest compositions. After watching a Discovery Channel show on forests I was inspired to write a little piece haha. Let me know what you think. Cloud Forest.mp3
