  1. @torquil: probably.
  2. Hajime loosely means beginning in Japanese.
  3. Instrumental trio with a duet between flute and oboe, and piano providing harmonic support. Rounded binary form. Critique away! Please comment if you listen. Hajime
  4. Wow, thank you all for your comments. Yes it is a bit short for me too. I think the augmented chord in measure 4 was intentional but it's been a while. It's supposed to be neo-baroque so there are a few things I let happen that wouldn't have in 17th-18th century counterpoint. I am realizing that most of my pieces are about 2-3 minutes long. I think this happens because I don't want to get too monotonous. I will try in the future to expand them a bit, and maybe use more cyclic material.
  5. So, this is Schoenberg's Op. 23a, or it was inspired by Schoenberg and is by you??
  6. This is a motivic piece with the motive being the first part of the first verse in a church hymn. Can you guess which one? It deviates quite soon from the original melody however and develops into an experimental imitative mural of beautiful dissonances. Experimental Hymnody
  7. I have enjoyed every piece you've submitted. I am going to upload my experimental piece as well. It was inspired by Charles Ives. Who do you listen to?
  8. I think you are very creative. Keep up the good work. Don't let anyone tell you how to develop your style, only listen to their technical critiques. Keep your style and develop it in the direction you want.
  9. I can definitely see this being used in a movie intro.
  10. A 3 part invention written for violin, viola, cello in C-Major performed by friends of mine who are students at the university I am graduating from. Performance was done at my junior recital. C major 3-part Invention for strings If you listen, I'd greatly appreciate your honest comments. Thank you
