  1. thanks for the link pateceramics, exactly what i needed.
  2. G'day fellow composers, I've recently composed a new piano piece and unfortunately, my theory has gotten really rusty as of late because of some life circumstances. Could any one point me in the right direction to getting some quick tips and stuff for this? Should I just go and look up some published scores? My main issue is the placement of dynamics, articulation and stuff like that. I've got notes, ties and slurs nailed down, but heck everything else has just escaped my mind right now. If any one wants to have a look at the score, I've got it down in Sibelius 5. Just ask Cheers in advanced
  3. ah thanks for the help guys :)
  4. the links in the pinned thread about this are broken :( so i'm sure someone has a clue as to the simplest way i could get around doing this hopefully? thanks in advance
  5. thanks :D yeah the famous piece is called "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire" by bach. and ive been signed up to this forum for a long time, but i havent actually started using it much. but thanx anyway :)
  6. to those listening, i need to let you know that this piece doesnt actually start with joy of mans desire. i composed this randomly. started with the left hand melody and dont know how but just went into 'jesu joy of mans desire'. just also like to add that this is no where near baroque music, just my own stuff. well, i hope you enjoy this piece, and feel free to comment on it. joy of mans desire arrangement
  7. a random piece i recently composed, which i have no idea how to describe, let alone talk about. and more randomly, i used some melody from 'Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire by Bach'.well hope you enjoy and if you have anything to say, please share. constructive criticism, whatever.and...if there is a possibility of merging a previous piano composition thread, it'd be much appreciated for convenience :) theme...with theme from jesu, joy of man's desire
  8. a piece i started a few years ago but didn't complete until now. as the name suggest, this piece describes a fierce blizzard that is blowing, then dies down before coming back again.the piece itself...i have no idea what kind of genre it is...i just made it up, based on ideas and simple tiny passages. happy new year Snow Storm
  9. well i only started getting a little into those music. i dont often listen. when i do hear one or two, i just draw ideas from them. sooo...yeah the main influences would be yiruma, cos i downloaded a few and....to zanarkand from final fantasy... ... yeah! well it will take a bit of time for me to get the scores done but i'll try my best.
  10. ah thank you very much yeah with the syncopation, it gives me that 8/8 feel even though the beats add up to 4/4 per bar. this piece was also kinda influenced by some of them japanese music and yiruma simply because i was listening to them music around that time would you like a score?
  11. man your improvisation is amazing. you have a great talent. i really enjoyed your improv no. 2, 8, 9 great stuff :D
  12. a rather simple composition i did over the christmas holidays. i honestly don't think the name of this piece fits...if anyone has any suggestions... but i hope you enjoy this piece. if you have any comments, suggestions, constructive criticism or whatever, please have you say. and uhm...i attempted to put the music down to score but i was having a bit of a problem. If anyone can help, figure out the time signature to fit the rhythm? for some reason...i get this wierd idea of 8/8 time... newborn.mp3
  13. two short pieces i composed. for the first composition, i was trying to make a melody without the tonic. so to still tell the key, i based the melody line much on the mediant of the key. the second composition, was made up of a few different ideas put together. because of that, it has an odd tempo that switches the next sequence. not that there is many though.... just 2 here it is feel free to enjoy, explore, feedback, discuss. mp3 download(mediafire): Composition1 Isaac Chan 17-12-08.mp3 Composition2 Isaac Chan 17-12-08.mp3
  14. thats a pretty piece you have here :) i enjoy it a lot :) i would love a score if possible. its really good :)
  15. sounds great. if its acceptable to you, then its enough :) i love it
