Hi everybody, I do not know whether this is the right forum to start such a topic but I am desperate for some advice :) I am Elif from Turkey I am 17, I have played violin for 12 years from age 3 to 15, worked with Itzhak Perlman, Igor Oistrakh through my studies but as violin was chosen for me by my parents I never actually liked it so at the afe of 15 I started to take piano lessons from Emre Sen who is an astonishing concert pianist in Turkey. After couple of months, I was able to play Chopin ballades, bach partitas so he decided to take me into a road to be a pianist.I have worked with Aquiles delle Vigne, Rafal Blechacz and Andrzej Jasinski in several masterclasses. This year, I was chosen to study with Jacques Lagarde in Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, but as I did not really like the school's system, I denied the offer. Now I am getting ready for an audition to enter Royal College of Music. My programme is:
Bach- Prelude and Fugue BWV 875 in D minor
Chopin-Etude Op.10 no.4
Chopin-Etude Opus 10 no.9
Poulenc-Les Soirees de Nazelles suite pour piano
Do you think I have a chance to be a student in RCM? Or should I try to study something else than music?
