  1. Why does a slow minor piece sound sad and a fast major piece happy? Is it possible to write a dreary/haunting piece in a major key? Basically, Why do we associate certain emotions with different tonalities? Are there other cultures that would consider a brilliant major piece sad? Is it by nature that we associate emotional ideas with music or is it by our surroundings and how we were brought up? I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions
  2. Okey dokey. Thanks! :)
  3. There's this composers contest that I want to enter and it says that one of the requirements is that the piece be in A-B-A form. Does the following count as A-B-A form: (ABABA)-©-(ABABA) or (ABAB)-©-(ABABA) ?
  4. nice! very beautiful and lots of emotion. yeah I agree it sounds like it could be in a movie about a war.
  5. thanks for that post J. Lee Graham!
  6. I agree. If you want to make it easy on yourself, just assign player 1 the right hand and player 2 the left.
