  1. Warm3.mp3 - 11.62MB I can't for the life of me make another one, and I fear I am doomed for a one hit wonder. But eh, you be the judge. *That's not me singing, by the by, that's one of my friends. Her voice is nice :) Comments Apprieciated.
  2. Maybe its just me, but i found there is a slight delay from when I play to when it records. I don't know if this has to do with the USB connection or not, but that's all I can surmise.
  3. MySpace.com - The Harsh - FARMINGTON, Michigan - Industrial / Ambient / Experimental - www.myspace.com/theharshmyspace There is my Myspace :P 1 of the songs on there has been previously posted before, that being "The Conflict" "The Depths" I made a while ago and its still up there. Its a lot more abstract than the first. Extension 316 was based off an idea me and my friends came up with, DO NOT PLAY THIS SONG IF SOMEONE NEAR YOU DOESN'T LIKE SWEARING . Anyways, me and my friends went around the school with a tape recorder, asked people to say "gently caress", then I dumped all the recordings on to my computer and strung them together. Comments on ANY of the songs would be greatly apprieciated.
  4. This reminds me of the artist "Junkie XL". I don't know if you've heard of him. This is an awesome song though, I enjoy the upbeat tune.
  5. Oddly enough, the synth solo reminded me of Starcraft. I do like the sliding guitar riff though.

Actually, my dad got me this magazine "Computer Music" and something else, and both of them came with a CD of just random samples. As for sound banks, I would highly recommend freesound :: home page, all you have to do is sign up for free and you can easily download any sound someone has uploaded. This is more for realistic sounds though, more processed sounds come from different collections of different sample CD's. Alternatively, you can link each sound directly into a track from the mixer board and add an effect to it directly. Things like reverb, delay, and distortion all come standard with fruity loops. Working from that, there are nearly limitless effect plugins that are available for download all across the internet. These can act as specific or strange effects that work with FL studio directly, increasing the overall feel of your sounds.
  7. Maybe this is obvious, but how is this synthesizing program different from others?
  8. Sometimes I write songs or pieces without legitimately putting a meaning behind it. I'm not thinking, oh, this represents my frustration with my parents, I'm just making music. Though I have to say, most of my better songs are when I am mindlessly making riff's or parts to a song and I attach it to a meaning. But my point is, I make music without meaning sometimes, does that mean I'm doing it wrong or worse than others?
  9. I like the sickening sort of distortion you added to the beginning, I don't know if you did this on purpose, but it almost sounds as if something is actually burning, the whipping flames crackling paper and wood. On an odd side note, I think I just learned the importance of a back story to a song. If you didn't tell me what this was about, I don't think I would have heard those things. It almost adds a surreal kind of underlying meaning behind each of the notes. Which is interesting, because I wonder what I would have thought had I not known what is was about.

Personally, I think you should make it less obvious that you just took the random sounds within FL studio. Though I think you did a really nice job with formulating things, you should drag some of the things into a plugin called "Fruity Slicer" and mess around that way too, because from what I hear these are just the direct sounds, with fruity slicer you can chop them up and make it a lot more interesting.

It definitely gives it a different feel, the autotuner. More electronic, not a bad thing.

    Ambience

This song I work on when I'm falling asleep. I don't know if that means anything, but hey. Here it is. Its kind of orchestral/electronic? ambient though. Try it. Feedback welcome. ambient.mp3 - 12.32MB
  13. I don't know if my main intention was to have people be able to dance to it, perhaps I am in the wrong forum section for that? The problem with vocals can easily be fixed if I didn't use my computer microphone. I tried to compensate with a simplistic filter and a focused EQ to take out an odd high pitch ringing. What do you mean, it could have glitchier as well? I wouldn't necessarily call it happy, but yeah, I get what you're saying. Its not really...dark...enough to be industrial. The "cool" riff, if I understand what you're saying, comes on right before the vocals? I think I know what you're trying to say, like, use the "cool" riff rhythm but use the instrument from the main? I'm afraid I'm a little bit of a noob when it comes to "envelopes". Rambling is good, much better than no comment at all. :) Thank a lot of the feedback.
  14. I make music on FL studio. This is one of many that I have made, but one of the few with actual lyrics. I'll be posting more songs/pieces/works/dabblings. I guess my genre would be Industrial for this song. Feedback appreciated. conflict.mp3 - 4.90MB
  15. Yes, very good.
