  1. For CaltechViolist: I don't know if its like this for everyone, but for me it doesn't bother me if the musicians aren't perfectly in tune. I can tell if an instrument is just a tiny bit sharp or flat, but its ok... there's kind of a range of what is acceptable, if gets too out of tune then it is kind of annoying. Music is a human art and experience, it doesn't bother me if they players don't have the exact tuning perfection of a computer.
  2. Yes, perfect pitch can be developed. It is a mental skill, not biological.
  3. Yes I know it is quite short that just because its simply meant to be repeated four times with different stanzas. If I ever like got it published or something I would add an introduction and stuff. Thanks for the feedback! Ryan

Hey fellow music lovers, Tell me what you think of my first composition, the hymn "Christ, Mighty Savior." Basically it was an assignment in which we had to pick a text for a hymn, write a melody and harmonize simply with SATB. There is no real form (I'm very beginner, 3 years classical guitar, 1 year theory/aural skills is the limit of my formal training). I don't consider it a serious composition that I laboured over, but more along the lines of an exercise. It is intended for choral, but the midi timbre is set to strings... but you'll get the idea. For the record, I'm 18, and started to immerse myself into the world of classical music about a year and a half ago. Any feedback is appreciated. PS. I know the rit at the end is over the top... I couldn't figure out how to change it! Ryan Christ__Mighty_Savior.mid
