Hi everybody, It has been a while indeed, so I'm back with a new track, it all started with me having a down time, playing simple sad piano notes then i got myself aggravated into transforming the track into a dark violent orchestral atmosphere mixed with lots of hot middle eastern and African percussions and hits, finally i ended up satisfied with the result i had, and the bargain fell into my favor  Obviously the Spectrasonics Omnisphere plugin was pretty handy indeed when it came to adding low freq hits and warm pads, also i used it for some smokey background effects and i was amazed by the result. As I'm a ewql believer, i used some of it's libraries for the orchestration - specially for the cellos and violins- combined together with miroslav philharmonic and some vienna symphonic libraries for the brass. what took some extra work was the percussion arranging and mixing, it was, is and will be my fingerprint in any piece i make, actually it was lots of fun. ;) link to resurrection on soundclick.com: ( for better experience play it hi-fi ) SoundClick artist: Dusk Viper - page with MP3 music downloads or link to resurrection on mymusicstream.com: ( play track resurrection ) http://www.mymusicstream.com/wwwmymusicstreamcomartist2239 Anyway hope u enjoy my latest track and of course I'm always eager to hear your comments and critics. Hey guys, i guess i would much appreciate some comments on my new track here " when the world ends ", i i posted it for 5 days now and still haven't got anything yet. thanx

Hi everybody, i guess i owe the forum an apology for not being an active member lately, i was so busy with my college studies and exams but now i'm back with a new track:thumbsup:. I have been working on this track for 2 weeks and 3 days now, i guess i was getting myself into a total new experience, it all started with composing a simple piano piece and gradually i found myself drowning into it making it bigger and bigger, for those who followed my work they would notice that the orchestration here is much heavier and more variable than any of my old tracks that i shared with the forum before. i'm actually a fan of using the staccato technique in the orchestral work specially for the violins and the cellos, i usually use it to tension the listener during an action scene so i massively used staccato for most of the instruments " violins, violas, cellos, bass and brass " specially in the last 2 minutes of the track to rise it up as massive as i could. The main plot here is for a war master scene in a short animation movie that a friend of mine is working on and i was called to do the soundtrack and the sound effects for the motion picture. the scene involves a hero in the old world who lost his women in such a tragic way and he's seeking vengeance for all what he had been through, actually this piece involves both the main theme of the movie and the action sequel. Anyway enough with all the talking and let my work speak for itself lol, i hope you enjoy my new track and of course i'm always eager to hear your suggestions and critics for my work  here's the link: Dusk Viper - Music, Video, Photos & News at MyMusicStream simply play the song (When the world ends). looking forward to hearing from you all

good job, i really liked the strings in "Discovery Cue (Soundclick)", very relaxing and yet very mysterious i'd like to know what libraries u used for the strings. also i enjoyed listening to "Eclipse (Soundclick)", i always enjoyed a composer who knows how to flow and yet over control the layers of his ambient piece, also the reversal piano notes added the mystery required , if u r following my work u'll notice that i do the same thing with percussions and lead guitars. so generally speaking u did a really fine job so far although i think u should get involved more in the ambient work u do have the skills for that regard, i'll b following ur progress for sure

thanks for your contribution Tol Alexander, and yeah this particular track took a while until somebody commented about it more than the other 2 tracks i added earlier, although it was my first track to be shared with the community here lol. looking forward to hearing about your work, and of course i'd love your critics over the rest of my pieces shared here in the forum

i'd love to hear all your critics and suggestions on this particular thread

Thanx Andy1044 for your contribution on my thread here, actually i'm working on doing some " home made " articulations for my orchestral strings for both miroslav philharmonic and vienna for both the attacks and the sustains, i'm actually new to the orchestral works but i just love to do it - to be honest i'm mad about it- so yeah u'll find lots of legatos on my up comming tracks, also as for the guitar, i wrote the solo myself with the midi using the sound source from the colossus sample library and changed the amp and the cabinet for it virtually big time, so yeah u can say that it was a trick " as Kaiyoti said earlier but it worked..lol:thumbsup: so....guys i'm really interested to hear about what u think of the first track i added which is " lost and found ", i never got a qoute about it till now..and it's kinda important to me, so if u please check it out on the forum and feedback me;)

some great stuff in here, i got he feeling that i was listening to some kind of a LOTR ost piece, i wonder what VST plugins u used in the production. i'd be glad to hear ur feedbacks about my pieces as well:thumbsup:

thanx for your interesting critic Kaiyoti, i heard ur "Joker, Gotham Menace" piece and u really should be proud by of it...it matches the dark mode of the batman character and the psychotic character of the joker indeed. as for my piece, i used lots of vsts on this one, for the drum beats i used DFH " drum kit from hell" EZ drummer for the pads i used ewql outer limits -as u may notice in the intro- for the lead guitars i used ewql colossus Blumaster lead mixed with fender buzz chug and i tracked them both to the same mixer channel with amplitube 2 carlos amp as thier main FX for the big hits and the percussions i used stormdrum and ethno world 3 bendir drums for the orchestral work i used both miroslav philharmonic and vienna, and i believe that i intended to do it in a messy way so as to make the listener disturbed and confused about the nature of the atmosphere i'm giving and i noticed that u asked about the voice and hell no it's not my voice " u don't wanna hear my singing pal..lol" it's a voice from a sampled library called " oriental world" a very cool plugin if ur lookin for the eastern flavours for ur mixs and i guess i went far with the reverb as u said , i guess i wanted to give it some certain kind of depth, but if ur having another opinion about what i should do with it, i'd be glad to hear any as for the synths i mainly used morphine and some other synths from the colossus library. so that should be enough as for now of course that's not all.... i used some more plugins for the pads and some other lofi fxs for the percussions and the guitars. i'd really recommend listening to another piece i did called " lost and found" u should find it in the same forum i'd use any feedbacks on this one might as well, looking forward to hearing from u

 u see what happened when u mix business with liquor lol "james newton howard" my appologies

how about "magnifizing" the church bells by giving it some booooom low pitched frequencies so as to make it sound like a big donkey real church bell " pardon my francais..lol ", u can find the real church bell that i'm talkin about in ewql colossus and ewql ethno world 3, u'll find some bell pads as well that would fit perfectly in ur mix. i actually had the feeling that u can go more glorious in the end by adding sustained horns in D3 that would follow the same notes then D E F staccato, that would shift the mode into some other experiment, hope u'd try it.

thank u Marius for your contribution, seems like u were the first one to hear my pieces here, i wonder what on earth happened to ppl's ears lol. anyway...i totally agree with u on some parts and as usual disagree on others lol- seems like we r going to have a musical debate in here - when i first worked on this piece it was supposed to be made for a scene where a hitman just did his last job and some kinda mob members chasing him for it so that's why i chose the power guitars to spice it up " as it's supposed to be a chase " , so the main idea was not about redemption at all. Then i came up with something else in mind and that was the atonement part, it was like " what if this character had already decided in mind to redeem for all his sins after this one last job and then it's over for good " may be there's a woman in his life, or all out of a sudden he felt guilty for all the souls he took without having the right too..anyway he decided to redeem for whatever reason, by then i decided to add the pray call parts- which btw i recorded them in a mosque here in cairo it's considered to be one of the biggest mosques here using a normal radioshack microfone and i was surprised by the quality it gave me- then i used reverb and delay fx that i've been working on for distant vocals and warmed it up by little EQing, a trick i made it myself and worked for me everytime i use it till now. And as for the strings, i usually use the "IK miroslav philharmonik" sampler for orchestrational works for it's great realistic articulations, and here's the part where i disagree with u if u would let me of course..lol, cuz i believe that strings ensemble and specially violins was and will always be the first choice for dramatic scenes by all it's means and shapes, and as for me and this piece i had to use em to tempo up the score and i thought it would mix in a harmony with the horns that leaded the score early in the game. but i totally agree with u that i should have introduced the choir at the start to give the sensation of redemption " btw i intended to form redemption by all it's colors using all religions " jews flutes, church bells and mosque pray calls". anyway, i have to tell u that i'm really honored by the critical sides of views u sent me and i'm indeed looking forward to hearing more and more from u, it seems like i'm gonna be part of ur gang soon my friend

i did this piece right after watching the dark knight in theater with my friends, and i was totally amazed by heath ledger's performance, he gave me the creeps indeed lol...so i decided to go home and put all my emotions in a musical piece, i tried to work on it using my own mind "out of respect for the amazing composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard" who did an outstanding work for the movie...so i decided to make something creepy, fuzzy and filled with a touch of middle eastern taste as it's my origin and i'm proud to say that i'm highly influenced by it. go to this link and check it out Dusk Viper- Music, Video, Photos & News at MyMusicStream then choose the track "creepy minds" of course feel free to send me critics and feedbacks considering what u think about it or whether u wanna know the vst plugins i used to create it;) looking forward to hearing from u all.
