  1. Okay thanks for responding I never have actually written vocal/choral music before so I was just splitting the words the way I thought they were supposed to be but thank you for the help I re-uploaded the score and I beleive I fixed everything wrong. One question though How do I split the words: soothing and later? After re-listening to it I don't really like the ending it doesn't seem in the chordal structure of the rest of the piece so I will change that. Thanks again, Jacob p.s. I also put up a midi if it's of any help...I have a rough draft of the piano part done but I am still fixing a few things.
  2. Invocation and Dance (David Conte) (SATB or TTBB) I just sang this piece in the Ohio All-State choir and it was the most amazing piece I have ever sang...
  3. I am working on a peice that sets a section of the text of Walt Whitman's "When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd" called "Death Carol". Here it is: DEATH CAROL. Come, lovely and soothing Death, Undulate round the world, serenely arriving, arriving, In the day, in the night, to all, to each, Sooner or later, delicate Death. Prais Death Carol (Rough Draft - Fixed).pdf Death_Carol.MID
  4. Eric Whitacre's Cloudburst...
  5. Okay Thank you for your help...and I tried it...you can't have a 0/0 time signature just so you know.... Thanks again Jacob
  6. At the beginning of a piece I'm working on I want the pianist just to play the arpeggios I'm writing without a restraint in time signature. Then go into 3/4 time.
  7. Could anyone explain to me how to do free time in Finale...I have 2006. Thanks JAcob
