Where can I buy that choir patch? Anyway, the piece was well written. It didn't make me think of a battle though. I was imagining a dark forest that had a dungeon hidden deep inside it. I guess it could be a battle theme. Try putting some fast passages in there to make it seem like the character is fighting for his or her life.

I lost it already. It takes a lot to build up my anger gauge. I'm sorry it took place on the forum, it's all about the piece. I'm thankful for all of you giving honest reviews. I'm going to make sure I do a much better job next time just as I do with every piece I write. The first pieces I really composed were on the piano, but they were to complex for me to notate at the time. Now days I can't play the music I write because I embellish things a little more than I originally played them.

I'm a finalist in my city for a musical composition, my composition is going to state now. I wonder how it will fair. I don't care if I do win or not, I had fun doing it.

Alright, here is the midi. Finale for some reason did not alow patch changes when converting it to a midi. The dyanamics are replaced with modulation. Other than that, it's okay. family_gathering.MID

I'm showing myself in the light I have been standing in all this time. I know I'm not John Williams, but I know that I'm a good (not the best) composer that has potential to be even better. Give me time, I just turned 15, I have all the time in the world to get better. When did this become a, "let's see who's better," I just want to have fun, not one up anyone. I also know that my piece is not bad, I worked hard on it. You can't take all the work I put into that song away. I won't sale myself short just because you had a negative opinion about one song I wrote. I have written better (I had fun with that constant GM-FM-EbM chord progression though XD). I should have been more proactive and just waited, but instead I reacted and that was stupid. However though, I'm not going to lie. A few of you (I won't give names) were being very unprofessional with the way you tried to resolve the situation. I'm just going to put this behind me. Are we all willing to forgive and forget?

Who the hell do you think you are telling me to, "get better, and we might comment." I already have 2 pieces that I wrote that the high school chamber orchestra are performing as well as a symphony I wrote that the local symphony director was begging my pwrmission to perfor it. I already know that I'm at a superior status in my composition skills, and I can't wait to get even better. I don't need some forum junkies to tell me how good I am. One, it's not scalloping, it's venting! Two, whenever I try to upload large files like mp3s (or in finale's case, WAVs) on the internet my computer crashes. The midi sales the song short, and I can;t upload large files like Mp3s or WAVs.

You think after a day at least one person would have said something. What I don't understand is how someone could download the file and not even review it. I thought the whole point of downloading music from this form was to critique it. Would it be a bad thing for the download ratio to be like 4 downloads to 4 posts. I'm having a bad day right now, and coming to an empty topic didn't help. I hope I will see something when I come back later.

You are on your way to becoming a good arranger. I hated being a second violinist, and only playing whole notes and open string fifths. One thing that kind of bugged me is that some of the lower instruments were playing whole notes through 80% of the piece. Whole notes aren't a bad thing, but it's nice to have some variety. I'm going to check out some of our other works. :D Could someone review my string orchestra piece please?
