  1. you may want to start on a more basic level too. what i mean by that is, developing the muscles in your weaker hand. I taught a lot of young drummers, and one of the things I had them do, was switch their hands for everyday tasks. ie brushing teeth, combing hair, eating, opening doors. You have to be able to get the weaker hand to respond to brain stimuli as well as develop the smaller muscles in your hand....
  2. please keep posting here in young composers... believe it or not, not everyone has a facebook page....

  12. mostly percussion music, 4 cadences a year for the past 25 years, percussion ensembles- so many i started my own publishing company and produced instruments to sell to go along with the ensembles, about 35 handbell arrangements, just started ( thanx to Finale 2K9) some dixie land tunes, brass ensemble pieces, and 1 concert band piece (the last two listings can be found on SoundClick) my daughter graduates High School in three years... then i hope to be a writing machine!
  13. not sure i would call it a gong tom either, they usually have different rim set up (similar to tympani) as made by TAMA. Sure would be nice to get a side shot of the drum in question. My guess is that it is a unique instrument for the project they are working on. definitely a one-of-a-kind
