  1. I don't see why we can't have 2.
  2. All submissions should now be e-mailed to internetphilharmonic@yahoo.com
  3. As last month's was, this month's composition is late, so the deadline will be August 6. This month's competition will be to write a solo for a harpsicord, as the winner of last month's composition has chosen, with optional piano accompaniment. Each composition must be at least 73 measures long, and no more that 153. There are really not many guidelines, so have fun with this. Submissions will be due on August 6, and the winners will be announced at an undetermined date, depending on how many people enter. Each composition must be at least 73 measures in length. No composition shall exceed 153 measures in length. A PDF file of each sumbission is required. An audio file of each sumbission must be included. Acceptable formats include MIDI, MP3, WAV, or other formats that are playable on a standard Windows PC. All sumbissions must be e-mailed to internetphilharmonic@yahoo.com by no later than AUGUST 6TH. Any relevent questions can be PMed to me and will be answered in a timely fashion.
  4. Oh haha that is a cool prize idea:).
  5. Hmmmm.... I had a very hard time judging the 2, but I have to go with the Impromptu, by Tyler Chen. Any questions, just send me an e-mail. Tyler, I'll tell you your prize at a later date:).
  6. Well, the multiple movements in the Shor tStories made this very difficult to judge, even though there were only 2 entrants. If you guys can wait another day, I would like the composer of Short Stories to choose just 1 movement, perhaps 2, to be judged.
  7. 11:59, technically:).
  8. I can do it! PM me and we can work it out.
  9. I play all string instruments, if anybody needs them:). Mostly violin. Very limited on the others.
  10. Haha that would be a bit too early :).
  11. Submissions should be e-mailed as attachments to internetphilharmonic@yahoo.com
  12. That was an option. Or possibly everyone on YC voting. I wouldn't worry about that quite yet though. It will most likely be one of those now that I think about it.
  13. No it's not liek my personal tastes. I'll look at the compositional aspects, not necessarily by how much I like it. And I may have some friends help me judge. But I'm not sure I can have a completely un-biased competition with YC judges. I'll think about it. I have some ideas that will make it work.
  14. Hmmmm.... I wasn't really planning on having any judges. And I wouldn't think it would be fair for you to be a judge of your own piece.
  15. No prize as of yet. I will try to figure one out before teh deadline though.
