  1. Thanks for your help - i really appreciate your supportive and helpful comment. As it happens, my help files don't work, which i've approached Finale about, and it's a problem they are having with my op system. So for the mean time, I am trying to fumble my way through. And every now and then, I just can't figure something out, so I (heavens forbid) ask a question on a forum. Yes this post is rife with sarcasm.
  2. Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I've been trawling the internet trying to find out how to put pizz into my finale 2008 composition, with no luck. Is it in articulations? Because I can't see pizz or arco.... Thank you!
  3. It's ok - it's working now... turns out the pointer cursor is extremely important. LOL ^_^ Oh and btw - there's actually threads on the finale forum talking about how ppl running Mac are having trouble with their help manuals - it's a problem finale are trying to fix.
  4. I thought a rule of a minor key was to raise the 3rd of the chord 5... Anyone else hear that? On the grapevine... :D
  5. Hello hello. I'm arranging my first big band piece, and I was wondering whether you all think I need to keep my instrument sections all together doing the same thing - I mean like, all the saxes playing the same thing in their various ranges etc.. or can I have one playing rhythm, one incorporating the bass part, one harmonizing the melody etc, or maybe that gets too muddy sounding... ? Are there any rules for this or is it personal preference? :w00t:
  6. OK well I think it's basic... lol. Any help greatly appreciated. I've just started using Finale 2008 and none of my help files work (grr). I've been using the qwerty 6 & 7 keys to move whole bars and sections up and down the stave one line/space at a time - and now when I do it, it moves the whole highlighted section an octave and changes the clef... :sadtears: WHY>? And how do I fix it? Cheers.
  7. Oh, duh. I feel silly. Lol :D
  8. Lol - reminds me of "The Internet is for Porn" from the musical Avenue Q. Very quirky. :)
  9. Loved it very much. I can feel a bit of Elfman-ism, but it has it's own nice flavour that is a bit different. What scale/s is it based around?
  10. That link is not working for me :(
  11. I'm sorry I can't offer any constructive feedback... I am only a novice. But I just wanted to say that piece inspired me so much. Thank you. It was intriguing and disturbing and luxurious and it made me feel. Great job.
  12. Forgive my ignorance but what is unisonos? I tried looking it up and got alot of italian... :)
  13. Phantom - I enjoyed your song very much. I think you would write really well for video games. :)
