  1. Just gorgeous. Adagio is a beautiful piece, dude.
  2. Not bad man, i'm a fan of 80's horror scores...writing one myself right now. I'm going to have to agree with a couple of the above comments. The cymbals sound pretty horrible(i'd take 'em out to be honest) and the bells could be tweaked vel-wise. You've really captured the essense of some old school horror music. The mix sounds messy and it would prob sound a lot better without that horrible myspace compression, just link your work up to a free audio host. Nice job man!
  3. Hey i'm right there with you, i approached composing from a producer's background. I think this sounds great man, props!
  4. Sorry to be vague, by depth i meant more sonically than musically. It could benefit from adding other samples from different libraries if you've got 'em. I usually use Symphobia as a sweetner in conjuntion with EWQLSO. As someone stated previously, it starts to sound a little long, so some variety would really spice it up! Perhaps some percussion, such as cymbal flares and timp rolls would also work nicely, or even a creepy choir. Just some ideas and my two cents. Nicely done once again.
  5. Hey Ron I really had a fun time listening to this...i love unpredictable pieces, it's like an acid trip :P Your style is inimitable, i really like it!
  6. Sounds good, i love symphobia! I'm using to write a horror score myself right now...well using it to sweeten other libraries mostly. This could use a little more depth but i like it, nice job! :)
  7. This is genuinely frightening/creepy at some points. I must give you top marks for that, especially in this section of the forum...really made me feel something, for that reason this is the best piece i've heard of yours thus far. Very simple yet powerful and effective. Nicely done.
  8. I think it's the start of something good, man. Don't be so hard on yourself! If you're not feeling it then perhaps you shouldn't bother but try listen to it objectively and get back in it.
  9. Thanks Jimi, heh-yeah ended up going with silence. I'm half way through the film, on to far bigger challenges than that, but it's always the first reel that is the toughest part for me until i find my legs. Thanks for your two cents!
  10. This would do nicely in a film i'm working on, it's an 80's horror parody. This would be so perfect, i'm serious. I'm quite envious!
  11. It's all good when you're using it artfully :D
  12. lol Nice! A very creative little exercise. The closest i have to some of these sounds are on an old '81 Kawai keyboard i have :P You're a true gaming fan, i appreciate your tribute. Fun stuff :D
  13. Thank you all. Yes, this wasn't the final mix so EQ was fixed and beat was brought under the mix :) Thank you so much for the comments, it helps a lot :D I would love the song to change structurally but it is what it is, if you can understand that...:)
