  1. Guys, thanks so much for listening. I think I made mistake with reverb or compression settings. When I receive my new soundcard, I will check it with my headphones. If it doesnt sound alright at all, i will try to improve it. For now, I will keep it like that, and head to new works. Take care.
  2. Hi, RME would be a right choice..You will notice the improvement so much. I use M-audio 2496, latency is around 6 ms..Pretty solid drivers..However, when it comes to the mixing while using plugin effects, it is not as good as professional cards..RME is one of the professional audio interfaces. Another one is Lynx. I am thinking about moving to RME, too. By the way, DSP means digital signal processing. Such those cards take the load of plugins and effects (like reverb, compression, eq, etc..) from PC during audio processing. So, PC doesnt use its CPU power for realtime processing, therefore host audio programme runs smoothly without any click or drop. Take care..
  3. Thanks so much for listening. It was a background music, and these two lines parts had voice dubbing. That's why I found it satisfactory. I added solo part later, and then full chord ending. You are quite right for this viola sample (EWQL). It is difficult. But on my setup, I didnt perceive it as really bad. If I have time, I will look it back. I think I should focus on new works. Take care..
  4. Hi, LASS or EWQL Hollywood Strings for strings. I think they are expensive little bit. For general: Platinum version of EWQL Symphony Orchestra, plus Stormdrum 2 Take care...
  5. Hi, I can definetely say to use an audio interface. Not onboard audio card. You can use the cheapest best one: M-Audio 2496, pretty solid drivers. Or professional one : RME Hammerfall 9632 or similar ones. Well for DAWs. Protools dont support for 64 bit systems as far as I know. Cubase 5 does support for 64 bit. If you use 64 bit, you can increase your ram for your benefit. If you buy play version of EWQL, Sibelus uses a separate sound sets for EWQL. Finale 2010 directly uses play version for VST, so you can directly compose and mix from Finale. But you might face technical problems for that. I can recommend sequencers to compose and mix, and Sibelus or Finale for notation. Better sound quality and better notation. However, more time for both processes. By the way, If you buy, go for at least Gold version. If you can affort, go for Platinum version. There are some bargains at soundsonline now. Take care.
  6. Hi Alex, I checked your PC specs first before advising. Firstly, you need to upgrade your PC. Three main possibilities of latency: 1-Your audio interface and its drivers. That might cause. The cheapest audio interface I can recommend for your PC is M-Audio 2496. 2-Protools might use the first core for main process, and second core might care for excessive load. That definetely creates latency and clicks or crashes. Cubase uses all cores at the same time. You can see it by task manager (CPU performance). If you see just one core is highly active when protools runs, that is not good because 2.0 Ghz is not enough for such those tasks. Instead, a single core like pentium 4 3Ghz would perform better. You can ask support team for if pro tools 8 uses all the cores at the same time or not 3-HDD. You should use a separate HDD for audio. OS and all programs should run at your main HDD, and sound library should run from a separate HDD with min 7200 rpm. I can recommend western digital black caviar (not green) Well, I think you need to change your pc and sound library. Because you might need 64 bit to use more RAM in the future. Protools runs with only 32 bit OS. That's the disadvantage for Pro Tools 7.4 or 8. Cubase 4-5 support for 64 bit systems. You should upgrade at least to Gold version. At the moment, there are good bargains at Soundsonline. You can check it. Take care...
  7. Thanks for listening mate. Yea , you are right, it doesnt resolve to the tonic because I use the scale D to D, no sharp and flats.Just in the middle, I modulate to E minor, and then back to D. I used a small setup. Brass here are only two trombones. That's why, they locate in their regular position (right side). Thanks again.
  8. Well, I have not composed, and not been here for a long time..I feel rusty little bit. This is a revision of my piece composed for a commercial project. Enjoy listening... Sincerity
  9. Thanks for comments guys. It was for a film production company. They requested me to compose around 40 secs for aggressive and energetic intro (for the first piece of the project). Well, I choosed rhythmically different structure to create that instead of using very fast tempo and a lot of percussion. They loved it, and used it. Here, different rhytmic frames are spreaded in its stereo field. After critical listening, it is easily noticed. Take care guys..
  10. This is the first work after updating my system (new samples and 64 bit system). This is one of some pieces I composed for a commercial project in a very short deadline. I hope you enjoy..Take care all of you.. Intro (Taiko and Orchestra)
  11. Thanks for your comments, guys..mmm..John, I used Finale and EW Gold Edition. It took around 6 days to finish this piece. I didnt want to elaborate it. Just left as it was. Moreover, I enjoyed this piece while working on it. I think, I am the ostinato guy Take care you all..
  12. Thanks so much for comments guys. Yes this was my frist composition. I took 3 months for composing and 1 week for processing audio..mm..I was at grade 6 level of music theory at that time. I gave it attention as much as I could. I didnt even know what sample libraries were (such as EWQL) those times. Well, I think we can call it amateur soul..Such first things remind people of nice old days) Take care.
  13. This was my first composition, so I am proud of it..Haha..It was for my final exam when I studied electronic dance music (by mistake and deceit). Because of being the first, there are some serious production mistakes, anyway, I uploaded its score, too. It is a nice challenge for myself. I hope you will enjoy..The concept: While ships approaching the land, Thor and Freja, Viking god and goddess, argue with each other. Once soldiers are landed, the battle starts. Fortunately, it results with a victory after many ones die. Now, it is the time for Thor. It is the time for celebration… Viking Duet and Glory
  14. Thanks for your comments. Yea I will start posting new works, however one more left I want to post my first composition. It will be a good challenge for me And then i will show new material after that. Take care..
