  1. I like this very much, especially the melody that starts in measure 9. The tuplets on pages 7 and 8 are also very interesting. I'm looking forward for the new end. I'm not sure if you intended to end the piece on the dominant (Bb) but I think Eb would be better. Shouldn't the name be "Polonaise in Eb minor" instead of "Polonaise in Gb major"?
  2. nice:thumbsup:
  3. Short but nice, I like the chromatic. Actually, I did write one just a few days ago (not chromatic though) Here it is: MP3 Sheet music What do you think of this?
  4. This very nice, pure baroque, thanks for posting!
  5. Sounds convincing, so if this is really your first fugue then you did a great job (my first attempt to write a fugue was just crap). The only thing I did miss was the sheet music.
  6. I'm glad you like it. I'm aware of the problems you mentioned. Some notes in the 3rd voice (tenor) can be played with the right hand (although they're written in the F clef). But there are still some chords that can not be played unbroken. Maybe I could shorten some note lengths (for example when you're supposed to hold a note in one voice and play something far away in another voice at the same time with the same hand). Anyway I'll try to make it more "playable" without changing it too much  Some notes may sound strange, even like they're wrong, but i think the ensemble is rather strong so I'm pretty satisfied ;)
  7. Actually, the harmonies don't follow any certain rule. I just wanted to use something rare or unusual, but not to unfamiliar.
  8. A modern 4-voice fugue. All suggestions or questions are welcome. Please tell me what you think of this. Modern fugue.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage Modern fugue.pdf - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage
  9. This is pretty good. Some of the textures remind me of Chopin scherzos.
  10. I'm glad you liked it. Actually there are 3 expositions, but the subject in the double expositions is only a small part from the first subject.
  11. 3-voice fugue with 3 themes. Please give me some feedback. Here is an mp3 MacJams.com - Song: Fuga a 3 sogetti by gisli Fuga a 3 sogetti.pdf
  12. I've decided to upload my second composition here at Young Composers (the first one was a two-part invention). This one is a canon in augmentation (the second voice has the tune at half the speed). In the middle the voices switch and repeat in double counterpoint at the 8va. Please give me some feedback, and tell me what you think of this, and if there's something technically wrong (I'm not professionally trained in counterpoint). Hope you'll like:) Canon in augmentation.pdf Canon in augmentation.mid
  13. Hey this is very nice
