  1. :( If I could play my choice of instrument incredibly well... I would either choose baritone or french horn. They are what brings a concert band its awesome power. Due to my clef lip, I'm doomed to play clarinet (my second choice)
  2. Thanks Can you tell I don't sing? :) I play clarinet, so I have basically no idea how the human voice should be used as an instrument. Revisions are on their way...
  3. Hello again. I've been busy today, havn't I? Anyway, here is a choral piece that I put together this afternoon. This is my second composition and my first choral piece. As usual, the midi file is only for refrence for the score. Have fun please leave suggestions! Also, what music form would this be? The Edge of Existance ( A Choral Work)
  4. This duet was inspired by riffs I had collected playing clarinet. The bass adds some harmonic varience, although it occasionally gets the melody. This is my first piece. Its still a draft. Please offer tips if you feel the piece is lacking. Thank You! Duet for Clarinet and Bass Clarinet I'm using a software called musicscore. Don't get it its horrible. I only included the inferior midi so that you could have a refrence point to the score. I soon I will put up a recording of me playing the actual piece, but until then... enjoy.
  5. Thanks guys for the advice....my problems have been solved. look for stuff by me soon! Thanks A LOT!!
  6. I hate the fact that our home stage is set up so that when we walk onto the stage, we have look at the lights directly. Thats when our band director remembers to turn them on.
  7. Thanks A Lot!!!
  8. Buy windchimes and sit outside.
  9. Hello All! I need help. Every time I write music, the melody seems too complete. It seems too classical. (not that thats a bad thing but its not what I'm shooting for) Whenever I listen to orchestrational music, it doesn't seem to be...resolved as quickly. Most of my melodies finish within 16 bars, but then I have to switch to a different melody. I can never complete any pieces because my melodies tend to be spaoratic. (And now another, completey different melody!) Help!!!!
  10. Very, very well done. The transitions between instruments and the phrasing is done exceptionally well. Nice work.
  11. Common Guys! :-(
  12. Also, if anyone wants to include advice and tips on setting up a home recording studio, or what gear to buy, or what I need, I'm all ears.
  13. High, being it my first non-pre-installed sound card I need help. The people at Best Buy wanted me to have a 300 dollar card and I'm like :censored: Is there a card out there that will suit my needs (and hopefully wants). I need: A soundcard that works with Cakewalk's Music Maker 5, A Dell Dimension 8200 with a Pentium 4 processor, and has an imput for a YPG 535, and has a microphone and/or a guitar jack. I want: One that will boost my MIDI quality. A free standing (not inside the computer) type. PS. It needs to be under $150. THANK YOU !!!!!!
  14. Thank you for not making the clarinet part impossible. There are many a composer that makes the clarient part so @$%#@ high that no one can even think of playing that. Really good piece.
  15. I love jazz for it's subtle complexity. I love your piece for it's jazzy feel. 5/5 stars. Keep it up!
