  1. ok thats damn good, especially the start. gets just a little bit tedious for me towards the end but thats the only criticism i can give. i'm keen to see a score though, can you email or message me when you post one?
  2. someone wrote a quartet for helicopters or someone wrote a quartet for strings in helicopters? i googled it and only the strings in helicopters came up. if there really is a quartet for helicopters, that is f***ing awesome, and who wrote it?
  3. kremlin, i read the original post but i can't quite discern what your point/question is. What exactly is your point of view? On communism, i'd just like to ask if anyone knows of a situation where communism has worked and been successful and not turned into a dictatorship. just wondering.
  4. Here is the score, with a couple of minor changes, and a new midi. I'll also attach them to the thread starter. Finale NotePad 2008 - [moon1(2) revised].pdf moon1(2) revised.MID
  5. How come it has piano audio? Can you upload a midi with mallets audio, because I know from experience that there is a totally different sound from piano to mallets. I'll reserve all comments for when i hear it on mallets :)
  6. There's a link in the original thread to a page with the poem, but I'll post it here so I can show you The Moon is dying, dying: but will be born again in the spring. When on the brow of the poplars is curled the wind from the south. When our hearts have given their harvest of sighing. When the rooftops are wearing their little sombreros of weeds. The moon is dying, dying: but will be reborn in the spring. So it's not all that sad.
  7. Just wanted to see what everyone thinks of my latest composition. It's written for Flute, Oboe and Cello, and it's pretty brief. I intend to write 2 other movements, this one will probably be the middle movement. My inspiration was the first part of Two Moons of Evening, a poem by Frederico Garcia Lorca, which can be found here At this stage the only notation program I have is Finale Notepad which I don't think can export PDF's. So for now all i can upload is a MIDI file and a Finale Notepad file. Please give feedback, feel free to rip it to shreds  Also, because I am very much an ametuer I have no idea what this kind of piece is called. If anyone could help me with that it would be greatly appreciated. Suggestions for a name for the piece are also welcome. July 11: I now have upoladed a pdf file of the score moon1(2).MUS Finale NotePad 2008 - [moon1(2) revised].pdf moon1(2) revised.MID
