  1. Funny thing about music, it creates different story lines for different people. I heard this and thought of someone yearning to return to heaven. Stuck in a world of darkness just wanting out....or is it just their dark mind. Anyway, beautiful work there chief. I'd get rid of the snare though or introduce it again.
  2. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Goetschius%2C%20Percy%2C%201853-1943%22 Try these. The best I've found. Period.
  3. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Goetschius%2C%20Percy%2C%201853-1943%22 Download all of these books. They'll make your eyes bleed. Wonderful stuff.
  4. Thanks smallercomma You're right, it might be to low but sometimes finale doesn't do the music justice on playback. If I record the parts with a live string bass, the "color" isn't too dark.....well it's dark as hell but perceptible. Well, thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.
  5. Great stuff man! Really nice work! One comment you might find funny. Have another person write that bass solo for you. It sounds like your style on both guitar and bass. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome song you have there. Cheers.
  6. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Goetschius%2C%20Percy%2C%201853-1943%22 Counterpoint applied in the invention, fugue, canon and other polyphonic forms; an exhaustive treatise on the structural and formal details of the polyphonic or contrapuntal forms of music, for the use of general and special students of music - Goetschius, Percy, 1853-1943 Free download. It'll help you with your counterpoint. There are other free books as well. Enjoy
  7. A Bass Quartet song in G major. Simple complete three part song form. Bass Quartet song no. 2
  8. I like the effort put into this. I hear a ton of ideas back to back that are individually wonderful. These sections in themselves are well crafted and well thought out. But just like a story book I need a reference point to comeback to. Something familiar. There doesn't seem to be anything for me to hold onto or recall or recognize. What I'm trying to say is that it's one phrase after another phrase. That in itself is fine, but I wonder if you could bring back past moments for the listeners benefit. A main idea that could be restated but varied or changed just enough to be recognized as such but changed in a way to produce some variety might be worth looking into. Anyway, you're sounding awesome these days. Again, congats on your acceptance into pre-college. Have fun!!
  9. Ha!!! Wonderful work! I'd love to see/hear this on the field!
  10. I would like to hear some of the "dramatic/aggressive" style you mentioned in the description. Have you uploaded any of those?
  11. Sounds good there sir. Keep it up.
  12. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Goetschius%2C%20Percy%2C%201853-1943%22 There are some books about counterpoint by Percy Goetschius as well as other musical subjects as well. I urge you and all of the other members to down load the full collection. It's a composer's goldmine.
  13. at 4:52 you might have a minor second you don't need. Maybe. Where in the score I don't know. In your study group maybe we could talk about simi-cadences. You sound great though. Tons of material. What are you studying now?
  14. Sounds interesting. I'd love to be involved. Let's set up a time to start. Ticktockfool
