  1. So here's a little three movement... attempt. I got generally bored this summer and tried my hand at Finale Lite, or whatever it's called. I dream of scoring this for a larger group, like a concert band. Right now it's just a piano draft. The scores are a mess, and I guess I'm just posting them as a reference if one should like it. mvt. 1 Sonata for Band-1.pdf Sonata for Band-1.mid mvt. 2 (these two sections are meant to be played and heard attacca. is that the right term?) Sonata for Band-2.pdf Sonata for Band-3.pdf Sonata for Band-2.mid Sonata for Band-3.mid mvt. 3 (again, all sections are meant to be palyed and heard attacca) Sonata for Band-4.pdf Sonata for Band-5.pdf Sonata for Band-6.pdf Sonata for Band-4.mid Sonata for Band-5.mid Sonata for Band-6.mid
  2. wow, that is totally embarrassing that i didn't know the ranges for these instruments. i just scored it for keyboard and tried a simple copy and paste procedure. ha. ha. oops. the biggest problem is the viola, no? well, i tried fixing it, a little. it felt like compositional triage... and sounded like it too. would it be best to just move the key up? are the violin parts just boring to play that low?
  3. Posting for the first time. Got really bored this summer and tried a little composing for the first time... ever. Here's three BRIEF movements for a string quartet. Wanted to see how I could do working with 6/8 time. Sorry for the lack of dynamics and articulation on the scores... but i am still learning the program. mvt. 1 1.mid 1.pdf mvt. 2 2.mid 2.pdf mvt. 3 3.mid 3.pdf let me know if i formatted something wrong... or did something else wrong. i would like to practice proper etiquette.
