I would suggest creating an account on soundclick.com to post your mp3's. Its free, nicer than the page your posting on and it doesn't give popups to every who tries viewing your piece. Nice work on the piece, I don't know if it just the recording, but I think you need a little more bass in the guitar playing it needs a warmth its to high and and too empty sounding. Nice voice, nice words.
  2. So, here's my piece And yet again its still Thursday, just made the time deadline. Grade 12 sucks, especially the homework. And I work too, it was fun fitting this piece into my time schedule and it was fun to work on. And, to Jimmy I think this was my best piece too! ;) I wish I had have seen your offer till the 31st, cuz - saturdays are really my only day to compose. But i just pulled some really late nights this week intstead. ~ But if something is due I will make the deadline, don't worry I didn't drop out. Thank you judges to for the work you put in. And if we could get constructive criticism after that would be awesome. Thanks for the competition, got me actually composing instead of just jamming around and singing ad lib. Hahahaha - I just made it........ The line.pdf The Line.mid
  3. In my time zone its still Sunday for another hour. This is my attempt. Still Learning Sibelius. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=997590 A Unique Light.pdf A Unique Light.sib
  4. Any results?
  5. I had fun with this. Here's the mp3 http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandid=997590&content=music In the mp3 version the bass drum is not so loud, sorry about the .midi version drums and alto sax. Listen to both midi and mp3. I'm still trying to work with the mp3 and whole virtual instrument thing. Here is the score and .midi file: somewhere there was.pdf Somewhere.mid
  6. I would like to be in this one please!
  7. I love this piece its awesome!
  8. Well, I was impressed with the beginning. It sounded to me actually like what they would play on the weather channel during a hurricane. Yes it got repetitive and if you threw in some changes it would be good, but for background to storm coverage it would work. Good job!
  9. I had to search a tad before i found my contrabasoon ~ everything was alphabetized and that was at the bottom of the list. WHY! Are we allowed to post our work before the due date, or would that go against the rules because we would get feedback. Just wondering. Where will we submit. Is it in this thread? I haven't found my crash symbol yet - if someone could point me in the right directions. Sibelius 5 they're probably staring me in the face, I see cymbals and no crash cymbals, i know there, there. GRRRRR! Ty
  10. The start reminded me of the Fray's piece, but then it was so much more. Good job, nice recording, wow!
  11. So I'm game for this some good motivation, I got a couple things on the go that I'll be posting, but will love this. If there's still room I'm a competitor.
  12. I'm in and looking forward to this. Very informative, looks like this will be fun.
  13. I'm reading it and very impressed. Thanks!
  14. I think you did a good job with this piece, perhaps having a fuller sound in the piano range just a little more bass and overall depth with the vocals.
  15. Well I'm new and wasn't planning on being that judgemental, so maybe it IS the heaven of God when he holds council with the Devil and his demons and it looks like things are going there way but then there is a resolve and we see God is still in control through it all.
