I felt that there is too much staccato motif in the woodwind,eg bar 33, in the music. I felt that they should be used less, so that other parts could be heard clearly and more colors could be brought out in the band. i also felt that could could thin out your texture, as it thick throughout the piece.

I felt composers should pick up as many skills as possible. It could be an ear training session or participating in a choir. It all helps you to enhance your compositional process. we need to embrace life long learning

Recently I have notice a trend in many young composers with poor aural skills, who could not sing their own simple melodies written down. Many have also poor sense of recognizing chord progressions. I would like to ask composers here on what is their view.

I like the harmony used in your composition. Please be careful at bar 22 as the violin and piano are have the same note A, and if the violin is out of tune, this could be heard.I do not understand from bar 25-bar 33. could you please explain further. I felt that the piano part is abit too much and too heavy on the piano. structually the climax part is appearing too fast. I look at it more like a development, but the irregular phrase makes it hard to listen. the first 24 is very impressive with beautiful harmony with the use of borrowed chords, good choice of rhythm and structure. i suggest keep the piano part simple at the bars 25-33, that would solve the problem. if you have any thoughts or questions please feel free to ask me. I have heard of composers copying another composers work, I meant exactly from melody, Harmony and so on. I have heard this is common in film music/ commercial music, is this true for classical composers ? Who are the people copying another composer's work - a student composer or establish composer what are they trying to do, - to get fame or to learn from the composer what are the legal implications of doing such what are your views, please share

How many of you have got your compositions published, and how do you get your compositions published. Many big publishers seem not to take in new composers work, and are looking for establish composers work. Any recommedation of publishers to try
