  1. Back. Let's see where this takes me.

  2. I'm interested in buying a copy of Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps for Sibelius 6. Does anyone know whether this is even possible? I'd hate to buy the whole score and have to input it myself.
  3. Jean Rivier's Grave et Presto saxophone quartet. It's beautiful.
  4. Is composing with Cubase anything similar to Sibelius?
  5. So I can use EWQL Orchestra through SIbelius 6? I can't get the VST to work that way. :/
  6. Yeah, I use GPO with Sibelius, but they're adequate at best. When I tried using the 64 bit PLAY VST, I had it Rescan the VST file in the Playback Devices menu, and on subsequent load ups it wouldn't load any of my VSTs. Once I removed PLAY, it went back to normal. And I'm not sure if it's directly compatible with Cubase and Sibelius, but Sibelius 6 has ReWire capability, so I assume it's possible...
  7. For the life of me I can't get the EWQL sound sets to work, even after following all instructions in depth. So I figured why not have PLAY be a VST for Sibelius 6 and use it to play My EWQLSO Gold sound set? Well, that didn't work either. My bet is because I can't use a 64 bit VST through Sibelius since it only runs 32 bit, so how can I download the 32 bit VST and be able to use PLAY through Sibelius, or can I not? And if so, will someone answer the question I've had forever, how may I rewire Cubase and SIbelius 6 together, because, again, through all instructions, I cannot get it to work. :////
  8. I just read that both SIbelius 6 and Cubase 5 are considered mixer applications for rewire. Does that mean they won't be able to rewire together?
  9. I actually recently had trouble with this, nigh but yesterday (and the entire week before). My problem was that it'd install PLAY, but not the library, even after all activation required. What I did was uninstall PLAY, restart, deactivate the User Account Control, restarted again for good measure, and then just kept on trying until it worked. Tedious, yes, but it ended up working. Might I just say that the library sounds utterly fantastic.Eventually it should download everything off of Disc 1, then ask for each consecutive disk and then you're done. Good luck, and hope that helped!
  10. Alright, so how can I get Sibelius 6 and CUbase 5 to work together with ReWire? My EWQL Gold, Pianos, and Goliath just came in, so I'm hoping to learn everything that's possible, and I could defintely use some lessons.
  11. And I need a lot of help. I'm currently perusing the manual, but they're quite hefty and I was hoping asking for answers here would be quicker. How can I establish VST through the program, since I already know how to import MIDI to the program, I just don't know how to get any playback. I'm just hoping to make pristine scores in Sibelius and then import the midi file to Cubase and make it sound lush and realistic as possible. Any basic help for someone who's just getting started?
  12. Hmm...one day I'll get into stereo panning in the way you mentioned, but for now I won't be needing it. So...is Pro Tools LE really not worth it at all? If so, I'll go with Cubase 5 DAW. Opinions please?
  13. I just want to know how you got such a professional sound, besides the sound libraries. Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, Sibelius, Finale, all of that stuff.
  14. That's actually very important, I can't believe I forgot to add in fermatas for them. It completely slipped my mind. As for the 6/4, I'm pretty sure that's how I want it to be, and I don't think I'll be changing it, but if the beat is hard to ascertain then I should probably head back to the percussion and make the beats stronger. Also, I think for the dissonance I'll add in more instrumentation playing against the theme...sort of similar to how The Beatles Day in The Life works. I suppose that's the best way of describing how I'm trying to acheive it. Also, does anyone have any tips on how I can provide atmospheric effects through instruments? Like...I'm trying to think of what instruments would be best fro mimicing real world sounds, like you'd hear in a war. That's more into the other songs into the suite, but it still needs to be thought about.
  15. Yes, but it's not often you see people use 5/4 correctly. I know I can't yet.
