  1. I'm seeing the name John Williams way too much. And Berlioz, common now, he's not that great! As for me... Handel Mozart Mendelssohn Dvorak Puccini Vaughn-Williams
  2. I agree, I guess some people aren't very good simon cowells, Your'e absolutely crazy,Calcium, nowhere in this entire piece did anything sound French or even remotely Russian. Like Nico said, it was purely Chopin. Just becasue a few liberties were taken with the piece, it doesn't make it a bad work. But I won't listen to you, calcium because according to you, "many styles and sudden mood shifts" are a bad thing - which I think everyone knows not to be the case. Yes I agree problems may arise when a piece is constantly changing styles sometimes, but this piece didn't drastically change styles. And Russian and French aren't ethnicities by the way.
  3. No problem, any time. And yes, the midi will make it sound weird. If you want it to sound the way it does in FInale. you have to make an mp3 or wav file of the piece, but I don't think you can do that in notepad.
  4. 3 isn't that difficult. 2 on the other hand... >_<
  5. 1900 is when the work premiered, in Rome too ;) . It was written when Puccini was on the top of his game, written right after boheme, and right before butterfly. Since it premiered on Jan 14, 1900, it is the first great piece of art of the twentieth century. And i hate Vissi d'arte :glare: Although Butterfly second on my list, and then Boheme, then Turandot. And I've never had an oppurtunity to see or listen to the whole of the The girl of the golden west. :(
  6. Of course not, I didn't mean to imply such. However, it can still be the same composer, Hadyn - for example - wrote over a hundred symphonies. And you'd be a fool to say that they are all terribly unique, they are all of the same high caliber, but not really having any striking differences. What I mean is, one can't listen to mozart forever and npt get tired. And this coming from me, I think mozart is the best composer. And also, I can only listen to Shostakovich in short segments, I need a rest. *Gasp!!!* And your'e a moderator.
  7. here, I'll save it in Finale and send it to you :)
  8. thanks, i need to look into that, ive never heard something that can actually say the words and sing the notes too. thanks!
  9. oh, and post at least midi.
  10. Hmmm, I don't like the harmony with the Tuba whatever, however the clarinet solo was beautiful. and so was the rest of the piece. I just grow tired of hearing evry piece in 3/4 with this sort of harmonies, I'm sure you wwon't change it now just letting you know that I didn't like it. Overall this was fun to listen to. And the beautiful melodies made up for the tuba that just annoyed me. very good job, sounds like you could really do something more with this great melody than a two minute thing for winds.
  11. Wow, This is very impressive. The best choral work I have ever seen on this web site. Great job, this is really beautiful - from start to finish, this piece was great. The transition in and out of the solos were done perfectly. Good job, and don't have anything else to say except that this was really good. What program did you use?
  12. I know more than anyone else.
  13. wait, do you mean you haven'y heard many women who play Paganini caprices or you haven't heard many women who play music. lol
  14. well, they are right, and my opinions change all the time, but one can't listen to Beethoven 5 and Eine Kleine Nach Music forever and not get tired.
  15. :P I feel embarrassed to say but, the faster beethoven piano sonatas always give me trouble, theres just so much technique involved. Also, for violin, I was say the hardest piece for me so far has been Saint-Saens Rondo and cappricio - the last part, ughhh!
