  1. Well, just a short score about "all the little things" :) "All the little things"
  2. Thx for reply. For sure, "closer" sounding would be great. But then the strings sound terrible ^^ It's not my normal setup because of a system crash :/ "aimlessly, not really going anywhere." That is the phase of life regarding Leila.
  3. Well, the theme "Leila" is for a very lovely & nice character. I love strings & harp. I just repeat the main melody in different scales (locrian & dorian) & forms (retrogade, etc.). I don't like the strings .. my LASS is on strike and I use another library :/ But I think you can imagine the main mood. That's the most important thing for me - the character Leila. Theme "Leila"
  4. Thx for reply, Nimrodia. I want to create my own language regarding composing. That's right. Sometime there is too much reverb. I will fix it!
  5. Thx for reply. That's right. I haven't posted the main theme
  6. Thx for reply. Regarding the snare: It stands for the soldiery and all the responsibilities. On the one hand she doesn't feel belong. On the other hand it's her identification. So the snare is part of the melody, But it seems to be like a "stranger"
  7. Well, this is a short medley regarding the film score "Melissa - the king's last daughter". I don't want to tell you so much about the score. Different music regarding emotions & screen-play scenes - esistance, exuberance, battle, tearfulness, etc. Melissa - reserved woman <-> fearless fighter; independent film project of old fellow students; royalties ASCAPMelissa - the king's last daughter Melissa - the king's last daughter
  8. Nice track. A "dark" flute (flutter <->legato) and harp gliss. would complete the whole atmosphere. A change between minor-scales and subdominant chords would be another possibility to polish up the whole score. Anyhow, a nice track, Danny!
  9. Heyx mates, thx for comments! Of course, it's not my style regarding composing - it's very simple. But the director is the king The soprano is a friend of mine. I've a little studio in my flat. Not very big but regarding vocals it's ok. "but I'm guessing you were on a time limit eh" That's right ^^ Right know I'm testing a new library regarding woodwinds. Regards Ben
  10. Well, it's not a theme or epic music; just atmosphere; short parts; just translations (dorian & lyrican scale); it was for a student film projectSilentW@ves SilentW@ves
  11. Hi John, thanks for your kind words. Yes, I have to wrtie the lyrics as well - but it is not my favorite occupation. Hehe, you've to that she has a Bavarian accent. To break her of that is not easy ^^ That's right. I've tried to create a "strange" piano accompaniment. Because I can remember lot of people like that; it's not the default and a part of my language regarding composing. Perhaps I will try to use the violin and guitar in the next scenes more and more often.
  12. Just a short rehearsal with a répétiteur regarding the musical VioletSun. So there is no post production and mixing process. The soprano Veronica warms up her voice. Anyhow, not all notes are correct but I like her voice so much; composed / developed with Sibelius 6.2 I love this project, the stage and choreographers! VioletSun - musical rehearsal
  13. I've solved the problem
  14. I can remember an interview with Hans Zimmer .. "What would you guess young composers?" ... -> "Don't imitate anyone and try to create your own language" ;)
