Sorrow
Sorry for the bad recording! I composed this during a night of insomnia. Sorrow

Ascend-Descend-Ascend
I wanted to create a strongly defined ABA form to perhaps sound like an aircraft or airship landing and taking off again. The B part is in good old 4-part harmony. Ascend-Descend-Ascend

Splitting Atoms part ii
“Yes Sir, after I have baked the cake I shall split the atom”. With this piece I aimed to create a fast and busy feeling of a rather mad scientist at work hopping around enthusiastically in his laboratory. Splitting Atoms part ii

Miss Moon
I have listened to this piece again just now and I cannot hear any distortions. It is an mp3 file with a bit rate of 160kbps.

A Factory of Elephants
This is one of my first attempts at minimalism. It is composed for 4 pianos. I am very fond of Philip Glass and Steve Reich. A Factory of Elephants

Miss Moon
This is one of those impromptu pieces that I composed during a wave of insomnia but I was lovingly accompanied by the full moon. Miss Moon

Flight of The Piano
Is this piece too repetitive? Is the intro too long? Flight of The Piano

“This Who We Are” Laura said.
“This Is Who We Are” is a voice sample I took from the TV series called “Millennium” which I vocoded at the beginning of this piece and later used it in its normal form. I wanted to create a good melody with a sound that borders on electrical guitar and distortion. “This Who We Are” Laura said.

Rotations On Human Osteological Terms (fragmented and complete)
When I studied a very tough course in human anatomy for a degree in radiography I found this nice program with a little man on it and when you click on a part of his body the program will recite the academic name of the involved part of anatomy. I recorded bits and pieces and created this composition which took a hell of a lot of time and effort to synchronize. I find my creation quite minimalistic. The piece is in binary form with the second part being done mostly on a vocoder. I think it sounds somewhat macabre? I wanted to create something that is interesting to listen to. Splitting atoms
Thanx for the tip on the distortions! I also noticed it and could not figure out what was going on. Much appreciated!

Mrs Dalloway
Hi Everyone! Thanx so much for your comments and advice, much appreciated! A “wistful, bittersweet feel” is just what I was trying to create! I think I am satisfied with this piece regarding the fact that it fits and “sounds” the personality of Mrs Dalloway. Her character is somewhat sad and even depressed at times as she seeks meaning in life. Michael Cunningham based the character of Clarissa in his book “The Hours” on the Virgia Woolfs character in “Mrs Dalloway”. She is always trying fix the lives of others. This piece needs some work (like the rather empty beginning and work on the perhaps too many arpeggios). I guess this recording was just a sketch. PS: There is a movie version of “The Hours” and the score is by Philip Glass which is very beautiful. Try to watch it!

Stuck with this one!
Thanx! Will give it a go!

Mrs Dalloway
Have anyone read the book “The Hours” by Michael Cunningham? And Virgia Woolf’s “Mrs Dalloway”? One night a while ago I had a wave of insomnia and thought I’ll do an impromptu piece on the character of Mrs Dalloway/Clarissa Vaughn and came up with this piece. Simple melody and simple harmonies. Sorry, there is no score and just this recording of me doodling on the piano (with my two cats on my lap). Mrs Dalloway
