  1. I just got stormdrum 2 about two weeks ago and it's maddening how amazing it is aint it? just amazing. I'm glad I have the big tom toms from "Transformers", "Dark Knight" and so forth but for me it's the tiny little stuff that makes it special like the waterphone, the bowed timps, and the little brush drums. amazing library. just amazing. hopefully it helps with me getting a job as assistant composer #78 with Zimmer's factory
  2. you have a comfort level for brass instruments that I can't even begin to attempt. sucks being self thought
  3. lol! that's the most summer laid back piece i've heard all year. lovely guitars.
  4. dude that's amazing. love the Philip Glassesque feel to the music. I can only imagine how it would sound like if you arranged it for big donkey orchestra
  5. the only complaint or closest to complaint would be the sampler. you could amazing things with a great sampler Wendell. hope to hear more from you
  6. congrats. well scored. the samples are the only complaints but composition and orchestration wise you're good to go.
  7. sorry double post. and in the wrong order? this site is odd
  8. you mean the low horns? that makes sense if you see the scene. it's for when the general orc says "Move into the city, kill all in your path". that's why you hear the low horns to represent evil. I know it's cliche but you kinda have to see the scene. hope to put up a youtube link so you can watch the music with the scene. as far as the end is concerned, it's for when the army arrives and we see Gandalf and the general orc looking to see where the sound is coming from. it's meant to trail off. it builds into the next cue, which is are just taiko drums playing a little loop right before Theodan gives his speech. the singer I really can't control what she says. basically whatever note you write for her she will sing those exact words in the notes that you wrote. kinda similar to the shouting choir in the sense that no matter what notes you write they shout it. wish I had the word builder from EWQL to control what they were saying, but as of now i'm SOL in that regard.

  10. what sampler is this? it sounds pretty damn good. love the winds
  11. damn thanks. nothing negative? first time that's ever happened to me in my 25 years on the planet
  12. good point on the reverb. and I think the basses is a wee bit too deep. but thanks for the suggestions.
  13. I know what you mean. I had a lot more instruments in there but the sound from Goliath is so realistic that it eats up memory like there's no tomorrow. going to update to an 8gb 64 bit on friday. and yes I will definitely recommend Goliath, it's amazing. 40gb of almost anything you want to do. it's amazing. just amazing. if you have the processing power you can do so much. and the effects you can put on the music mixing wise is also amazing. they give you so much control. it's amazing. get it
  14. for a composer competition. this is for when the Pale Man wakes up and puts his eyes in his hands and starts chasing Ofelia. I broke up the scene into 5 cues, this is the last one. the music might not make any sense if you don't hear the first 4 cues since it establishes the themes and motifs, but this if personal favorite part. composed entirely using EWQL Goliath. Pan's Labrynth rescored
  15. this is for a composer competition. we were given a scene from the last LOTR scene and a scene from "Pan's Labyrinth" to rescore. i'm done with the "Pan's" but currently working on LOTR. this clip starts when we see the Gondor being destroyed and ends when Theodan and his army arrive at the battle before he gives his big speechworking on the 2nd part now which would be the speech and charge to battle. done entirely using EWQL Goliath. comments and suggestions welcomed. LOTR sequence rescored
