She's a fairytale
The stardust-ish sound at the beginning is a really fitting way to introduce the theme. I agree with Peter's comment about the odd muffled violin sound near the beginning; were you trying to make the choral climax entrance more dramatic in comparison? The change of pace near the end was very nicely handled.

Anya by the Stars
I wrote this track for the OST of an upcoming game called "To the Moon" (http://www.freebirdgames.com/to_the_moon).It plays at a night scene with two people sitting beneath a lighthouse, who then proceeds to climb up the tower and dances as silhouettes on the lighthouse's window. Hope you enjoy! All feedbacks and advices welcomed. Anya by the Stars

I have just finished my utmost heartfelt love song
To cancel out bitter burritos, probably. Glad ya enjoyed it guys. c: Thanks. I don't think I'll be posting a score for this one since it's just a screw-around song with a bunch of cliche chord progressions with arpeggios, so it's rather embarrassing, heheh. Here's it pitchshifted to 135%, I think I'm actually liking this better than the original pitch: http://quintessence-tbv.com/TIShamster.mp3

I have just finished my utmost heartfelt love song
I wrote this one while passionately singing in the shower last night / at 4 in the morning. I would like to share it with you all. It's called "Fly away to taco island". Hope you enjoy, and hopefully this is the right board for it, if any. Recording link: http://quintessence-tbv.com/TIS.mp3 Lyrics: Every day I wish that someday I could just fly away ~Whoa whoa~ To an island with just you ... ...and an unlimited supply of tacos (and burritos) That way I don't have to pay for taco after taco after taco ~whoa whoa~ (and burritos) And with the money we save, we'd go to Wal-Mart and buy some nachos ~Sweet sweet nachos~ ...But we can't, 'Cause we'd be on that island with just you and I and tacos (and burritos) whatever

Black Cape [Symphonic Rock]
Heya guys! I don't do these types of music often, but here's a short symphonic rock-esque attempt I just finished: "Black Cape" Composed by and © 2009 Kan [Reives] Gao http://quintessence-tbv.com/Black_Cape-KRG.mp3 Still trying to get a hang of the rock/metal style, heheh. This song has a rather sudden ending as it stands now, but I do have plans to extend it in the future. c: Thanks for your time!

\\ The Moonlight Path //
Heheh, good luck with the complete revamp; should be worth it though! And ah, that's cool. I want to learn how to manipulate sounds for SFX and stuff in the future.

Has a neat prestigious feel to it, love it. The video is really fitting as well!

\\ The Moonlight Path //
Very nice. I was listening to the ones in the OP and thinking "wait a minute, this doesn't sound like Marius' usual quality. . ." Then I looked at the date. :P You've improved so much through the years, it's pretty inspiring. The new sound libraries help too. Loving both of those ^. Great use of effects, they really set the mood.

My first non-incidental piece: <Climbing the Ladder>
My usual works have all been for games and the like, and this is pretty much my first non-incidental/mood-oriented, music-for-the-sake-of-music music. It was surprisingly fun to work on, as there was a lot more freedom since it's not mood-bounded. c: I was also trying out strange time signatures like 7/4 and 9/4 for fun, heheh. Anyhow, here it is: "Climbing the Ladder" - Kan [Reives] Gao http://quintessence-tbv.com/Climbing_the_Ladders-KanRGao.mp3 Feedbacks much appreciated! :) I'm not too experienced with writing for piano, so advices are always helpful. Thank you very much in advance.

<The Other Side of the Ocean>
Heya guys, this is a song of mine for a game called "Aqua'os: Tears of the Ocean". The setting is basically a dark version of the underwater Atlantis, so I tried to go for the underwater, dark, mysterious kind of feel. c: Here it is! "The Other Side of the Ocean" http://quintessence-tbv.com/TOSotO(Part)-Kan_R_Gao.mp3 Hope ya enjoy, and thanks for your time! :) Feedbacks much appreciated.

A Time Long Past
I've finally got my hands on some EWQL libraries, and here's a song I wrote for the RPG "Quintessence". In this piece, I attempted some artificial realism via some fake breath-takings, guitar fret noises and the like. A bit rough on those, but it was worth a try. :P Apparently I messed up at parts where the guitar's chords didn't change but there was a fret noise anyway. Direct mp3 link: A_Time_Long_Past-KanRGao.mp3 Enjoy! Feedback and critiques always welcomed, ty for your time. c:

A Moonlight Prayer
Quite dreamy, loved the atmosphere of it. I did find the organs at the end a little. . . "intrusive"? I mean, instrument-wise it seems to fit, being an organ and this has a "holy" feel to it, but as a song it seemed to be roughing up the atmosphere a bit. But then again, I was never a fan of organ myself so I'm biased. :p

Thomas Newman's WALL-E soundtrack
Surprisingly moving movie with a matching soundtrack. "Define Dancing" is my personal favourite from it, and has inspired me to try my hand at (imaginative) "film music" for the first time.

Dance With Me [Inspired by 'Define Dancing' from WALL*E]
Thank you. c: And sure, go ahead and download it. I'd be flattered. As for the sounds in Finale/GPO; try using a lot of dynamic expressions, e.g. crescendo and etc., almost religiously. It helps out a lot. As well as a bit of reverb, of course!

Dance With Me [Inspired by 'Define Dancing' from WALL*E]
So I've been quite inspired by the music that plays at the "space dance" scene from the movie, and decided I'd attempt to write my first "film music" to try to aim for that mood. . . Hopefully it didn't turn out too messy. Harp, strings and flute. Composed in Finale 2006, recorded with Garritan Personal Orchestra sound library. For those who have watched the movie (if you haven't, please do), try to imagine that scene when listening to it and see if it fits. :) http://www.quintessence-tbv.com/Dance_With_Me-KReivG.mp3 Thank you for your time in advance! P.S. The recording process seemed to lag the playback tempo a bit at times, but it shouldn't be too big of a distraction.
