  1. I play the trumpet, you were right, maybe a little too hard. Anyway, thanks for the tips. I'll probably split the octave jumps like you said. Either that or I'll get Wynton Marsalis or Allen Vizzutti to play it. lol
  2. Hello... This is a piece I am writing for brass quintet. I just stopped at the point where it ends, because I couldn't figure out how to write any more measures. Finale 2006 wouldn't let me add more measures... How do I go onto the next page!?! Thank you. Heshi, Daniel Falun Dafa Hao.MID Falun Dafa Hao.MUS
  3. This is for a piano and a flute. It depicts a winter scene. Tell me what you think. Maybe the MIDI file sounds bad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Truthfullness, Compassion, and Tolerance www.falundafa.org A Winter Scene.mid
  4. You might know my friend Patrick Segura.
  5. I really like this piece. I hope you all enjoy it. Heshi friends, Daniel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Truthfullness, Compassion, and Tolerance www.falundafa.org Let the Fa be Guide.mid
  6. Maybe everyone is tired of this song, but I still like it. So I made an arrangement of it for piano and a muted trumpet. The midi file kind of makes the trumpet sound like a sax though. Anyways, hope you enjoy. I wrote some lyrics too. ~Falun Dafa Hao!~ Falun Dafa Hao~ ~The World Could Use More Zhen-Shan-Ren~ Oh Falun Dafa Hao! ~ Hehe Hope you like it. 10. Ni Hao, This piece is dedicated to all of the tortured and abused Falun Dafa practitioners in China. www.faluninfo.net www.falundafa.org All I have available is the .mus file and the mp3, no midi. 11. Thank you Mitchell for the nice comments.
  12. I don't know if there is already a thread about this, or if this is the right place... but I have a question.... FINALE OR SIBELIUS? Has anyone ever used "Anvil Studio?" This program is free..... And is it nesecarry to get prof. editions, or are the student versions good enough? Who can help me?!?! Thank you friends. Heshi, Daniel
  13. Awesome Dude. Very spirited. I love the trumpet part somewhere around like '45. Overall, your trumpets are really great. I play the trumpet, and I know that any trumpet player would enjoy this piece. You managed to blend everything together really well, it flows smoothly from section to section, and you really managed to keep a great spirited feel throughout the whole piece. The ??oboe/clarinet?? duet at 3'23 is great. Just curious, this was Finale or Sibelius? I'm looking to purchase one of these two softwares, but I don't know yet which one to get..... Well, I definitely feel "Rejoice." Great piece man, keep up the great work. Just curious again, what were you celebrating? What were you rejoicing? Heshi friend, Daniel
  14. Thanks Dante. Yeah, my brother pointed the same issues, he said the Tuba and Trombone runs were a bit much, and a little high. I agree with what you said about the repetative trumpet parts. My bro also mentioned that the F-Horn part is not bad, it's just sightly out of F-Horn comfort range. But, I wrote it very quickly, (like in half an hour) and I didn't do any editing afterwards, so maybe I'll do some editing. For some reason, I really like the sound of a great brass quintet... i.e. Canadian Brass, Empire Brass Quintet, so I want to continue writing these kinds of pieces. Of course eventually, I want to start working on larger ensemble pieces too. But thanks for the tips. Have a blessed day friends. Heshi, Daniel
