Thanks for the reccomendation, i will probably get it. But doing my search for a place to buy the book, i also came across one written by Jean-Phillipe Rameau, who was a famous baroque composer. And since i am going for a more baroque sound, maybe that one would be better?

What book(s) should i read?

I can't figure out when to move to the next chord in my progression, so how could i possibly tell when others, much less Mozart, does it? If you could tell where the chord changes happens, i could give you the roman numerals, but that would be defeating the purpose.

Depends on what you mean by "harmonic analysis" Besides, i don't see how that relates to my question.
-
I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say here. I would say i have a pretty good grasp of theory, at least enough to know what this is all about.
-
Well, im going for a baroque style. I don't know if that changes anything.

Thank you for your help.

Hi, im pretty new to music theory, so forgive me if this question sounds stupid. When should you move from one chord, to the next? I see pieces where the chord changes once per bar and sometimes pieces where the chord changes twice per bar (and sometimes more). So this has got me confused, and uncertain as to when to move to the next chord in my progression. I would appreciate any help.

I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a copy of the score for Vivaldi's opera "Motezuma" ? I have searched a lot but couldn't find anything...

I am currently writing a concerto in the baroque style. I have it all down except for one thing, the viola. I have no idea what to do with it, should it play the same as the violins? or should it play the bass with the cello and double bass? or something completely different? I hope you guys can help me.

Stunning! i loved it! Love the counterpoint, very Bach'is, as you said. This actually sound like something he could have written. This is also the first Bach like piece i like, i cant wait for the rest.

actually, i did have one idea when i started it. That is what you hear betweem bar 3 and 7. I know it sounds very similar to Vivaldi's mandolin concerto in c. I wanted to develop, that idea, but i am very bad at developing musical ideas, but im practicing, and i hope it will help. Also about the order of the voices. I know the order is wrong, but i was very tired (it was around 3 am) so i basicly just selected the instruments in a random order, and i actually also just randomly picked the key sig.

Please tell me what you think of the MVMT. Also, i did not have any musical ideas in my head when i started, but i felt that it would be a good idea to get some practice in composing for several instruments.

What do you mean by "development", "Cresendos", "Decrescendos" and "dynamics"? I am not very skilled in music composition as you can hear, so i have no idead what those things are.
