Pager disabled until further notice

This one probably won't go down too well...

I was informed today via an email originating from the vbulletin.org staff that there is a security hole in the pager add-on. As might be expected, no details have been publicly released since doing so would drastically increase the risk of sites being attacked.

I'll have a look through the code later on tonight to see if I can spot anything semi-obvious. If the problem isn't an obvious one, we might have to wait until the author updates the product.

Doesn't really bother me, seeing as I hardly used it, and the only person sending me pager messages with any regularity was javileru, waxing not-as-poetic-as-he-thinks-he-is...

I saw that thread on vbulletin.org this morning when I was getting some mods for an anime forum I am an admin of...how sad...hahaha....I do hope it works, I was going to get that add-on. Well, I also use it here a lot. Mike...Lets contact the staff to hurry them...I will send princeton (admin) and all the others a PM.

As far as I'm aware, it is not the responsibility of the vbulletin.org staff to fix mods which are broken, insecure or otherwise, rather the add-on author's responsibility. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have visited the site in over a year, so I suppose I'll work at resolving the problem myself as far as is possible.
