James H. Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 *tentative* Maybe if I have enough time, I will try and put something together. Of course, last time I said that, I suprised myself.. We'll see.
oboehazzard Posted August 21, 2007 Author Posted August 21, 2007 Could you move my name from the competitors' to the judges' list please.
Momoflakes Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Sorry, my vacation's a week longer than I thought, I won't be able to participate. Can you take my name off the competitor list? grrr stupid awesome vacation... lol dangit.
piano_player18 Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Please add me to the list. I have begun work on this and hope to have it finished by the deadline.
oboehazzard Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 but...but... You were already on the list. :shifty:
tenor10 Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I will definetly be able to this as SIbelius has fixed my Kontakt Player 2 problem!!!
oboehazzard Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 Yay! But...make up your minds people. :P
oboehazzard Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 No, you can still sign up. I'll put you on the list.
Guest Anders Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Alright, put me down as a judge. I don't particularly like Harry Potter or, for that matter, the music that this franchise has produced... BUT an uniformly negative judging is better than a biased one, I suppose. ;)
amai Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 hi! i'm new at this forum, but actually want to participate, too, if still possible .) just have one question - if somehow i do not meet the deadline, will it be possible to leave competition at the last moment? thanks!
Piotr Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I have the same question as amai. I want to participate but I am not sure if I will have the time to compose in the next month.
piano_player18 Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I am going to try and finish as well. A suggestion is that since we have another month...don't try to write so much. Introduce 1 of your favorite themes and then expand it into a brand new original theme. Using the feeling and magic of the original beauty and magic of John Williams orchestral suites.
James H. Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I'm pulling out. I have way too much going on right now to write any themed music.
piano_player18 Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I am having too much fun writing this!
fourthage Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Sorry but I also have to pull out my computer crashed a few weeks ago and I still haven't got a new one :(. I had started a new piece for the competition and will post it when it's finished.
tenor10 Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 i have to pull out, as well. To much school music stuff going on!! sorry I promise ill do the next competition!
piano_player18 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I finished by arrangement of Hedwig's Theme about a week ago and I'm now working on a second movement for the competition. I hope it's ok...but it's a totally new melody not taken from any of the Harry Potter soundtracks. However, it fits the feel of the movies quite well and fits the storyline upon which it is based. I hope that's ok because I'm going to try and finish it when I submit as well.
piano_player18 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 :( It doesn't look like many people have submitted scores. Just three people? Anyways, does anyone know when the winners will be announced?
Romanticist Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 What the hell? I thought this competition ended years ago... and whatever happened to good ol' Oboehazzard?
Nirvana69 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 What the hell? I thought this competition ended years ago...and whatever happened to good ol' Oboehazzard? I like to think that on his 16th birthday, he turned into a deaf mute incapable of typing even the smallest of sentences.
