I'm experiencing a very hard time to find an answer, and well I need an answer fast since I have to apply and submit approx. 3 pieces before Christmas.

Hah, follow your heart. If you fail, that's life.

Well at least is was not the quote he chose, which too many people have right now :)

Yes, I believe that the future for music students will be better, since the film and game industry is expanding faster than an expandable thing :)

id rather constantly find a job in a field im passionate about then work a steady job i hate. you get one life, and im ready to make sacrifices for music. i advise anyone who wants to choose music as a career to give it everything you have and dont worry bout finding a job when youre 17 and in high school. if for some reason i cant make it in music and i die in the streets next to the bum.....ill be dead and wont care, at least i tried

WOw... just like what happened to Mozart... if you're really a musician what you'll care about is your music and how you do it and how you'll let people listen... just that.. not the money... :sadtears:

There's a redundant statement that's redundant.

Me personally, I'm currently tens-of-thousdands of dollars in debt. So what did I do? Moved to the city, started another degree. Duh!

Make the the sacrifices, do the work, be persistent and passionate and you'll pull through.

Don't let The Man get you down.

Yeah that's a practical solution... u can learn music eventhough you're not a music student...

sometimes nonmusic students are better than those who take formal music studies

Except that I actually mean that when I review a piece, I WILL destroy it and rip it to shreds. Maybe I won't insult it, but I will attack everything. and if there's nothing musically to attack, I will attack things like how far from the note the F# in measure 36 beat 2 is.

Why? I'm simply dying to hear how you justify that.

I meant I've started yet another music degree. I'm saying that job prospects and career options may be limited, but I don't care. I want to play music...so, I'll do it.

Anyone got any ways of sponging off the Government for my studies? All I really want to do in life is continue to study, I can be one of those extremely learned people who never gets a real job and calls themself an 'intellectual'.

Me too actually!

Cause QC is meaning something totally normal and justifiable, but what you are saying oboeducky... is... well... not... nice

If someone's at the point of musical perfection, then they need to produce a perfect score/parts to send into the studio. obviously.
