Laogeodritt Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Hello, At my school, I'm a member of a wind quintet (flute, Bb clarinet, Bb trumpet OR F horn, alto sax and baritone sax), as well as the arranger. I'm looking for some interesting pieces we could play that would work well, given our instrumentation. I've mostly been looking at video game music, but I'm open to classical works as well. On average, our members have about three years experience on their respective instruments. (I can't really give a more accurate description of their experience level...) Some possibilities I've considered are a medley of Mario music (from the (S)NES-era games), The Legend of Zelda music or stage themes from the old Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog games. Zelda is the most popular in the group, but the pieces I've picked out as interesting rely on more "percussive" sounds Quote
Marius Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 If you had a bassoon, I'd have a fun piece for you. :P Quote
Laogeodritt Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 I'm not sure we even have any double-reed players in the school. XD Quote
