i used to use the logo at the top as a refresher of the message board.. can this be changed back?

What's wrong with it? it just goes to the homepage, are you asking for it to be changed back to the forum page?

You could always use the Forum tab, which is 3 pixels away from the logo. Or indeed any of the other links back to the forum index (forum jump, left-hand navigational link in the top left showing you where you are). Admittedly, these aren't as obvious as the logo, but it makes sense for the logo to point to the homepage and not the forum, since it's used across the whole site.
