gollum69 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Why would one be embarrassed to say that they listen to Vivaldi? In my opinion, he composed some of the most beautiful music that you can listen to. You can hear a joy of composing in most of his work. Remember that Vivaldi wrote his music for three (3) reasons: 1. He enjoyed composing music 2. He thought that music should sound good and be enjoyed by the LISTENER and not only be appreciated by the music intellectual. 3. He was being paid for it. I'll admit that I listened to lots and lots of Beethoven and Mozart since I was 10; until I started to listen to Vivaldi. Now, I just can't seem to stop enjoying Vivaldi's work. Quote
Mitchell Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I listen to all kinds of everything. Rock, metal, techno and the like. I still love Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65. Quote

Old Composer Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 THAT is embarrassing. Hah. You think that's bad, I like the whole CD. :P It's just fun. Good driving music. I actually like the song "Adia" by Sarah McLachlin. I think it's a really well done song. Quote

tonaltraveller Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I'm not sure if I should be ashamed of this or embrace embrace it in the essence of broad musical tastes ... but over the past year or so I have come to realize that I actually really like Britney Spears' music - it's so catchy and danceable (if that is a word?!) x Quote

Kamen Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Well... Maybe I should be embarrassed for liking Modern Talking, CC Catch... I enjoy 80s disco. Actually, I like most things written and produced by Dieter Bohlen (by the way, we are born on the same date, just 20-something years apart). For me, he is one of the most successful songwriters and producers ever - so many hits because of him. Quote
Nathan Madsen Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 My guilty pleasure is Mariah Carey's Vision of Love. Her voice is just SOOOO sexy and I enjoy the groove. I think I'm blushing right now as I type this! LOL I don't much care for her other stuff, but this (in my opinion) is golden. YouTube - Mariah Carey-Vision Of Love Edit: How do you embed the youtube videos? I tried but it didn't work so I just made a hyper link. Quote
Daw Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 The Pirates of Penzance is pretty embarassing for me. Particularly enjoyable/embarassing would be The Model of a Modern Major General, and When I was a Lad. Quote
