Marius Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I came across this site while wandering the interwebs and I thought it would be a good resource for anyone looking for some film work to add to their resume. :) Music Licensing Opportunities - YouLicense - The Online Music Licensing Marketplace Quote
Guest DOFTS Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Hey that's awesome. Gotta love the interweb! Quote
Marius Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 It'll largely depend on the project, I expect. Some might decide to pay. Quote
Matthew Becker Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Some of them are paid projects, but then again a lot of them are looking more for bands and artists instead of composers with a score. Quote
jujimufu Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 But then again, it should be quite easy for a composer to go on and write a rock/pop/metal song than a symphony. And why do you separate artists from composers? :| Quote
James H. Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 The terms "artist" and "composer" tend to have different stigma attached to them. When I think "artist" I think of someone who records their own music by playing their own music on their own instruments or with their voice - the final product being the recording not the sheet music. I usually relate the term with pop artists. With "composer," I think of a person who just writes the music and whose final product is the music itself, not the playing of it. Just my 2 Quote
