What instrument is this?

I know this is a silly question, but somehow, I just can't figure out what instrument is the one playing at the beginning of John Williams' Schindler's List main theme. The one just before the solo violin comes in. I sounds like a woodwind instrument, I just can't identify which! :(

Any ideas anyone?

Well, the instrument appears a little right before Perlman plays his violin. Therefore, I can't have a view of the instrument.
