Guest DOFTS
Yo, I'm in no mood for looking for a new piece to learn for guitar, so I figured, I'll ask someone to write me one. I don't care the style, kind of guitar, skill level, mood, whatever, just write. If I like it, i'll perform it August 31stish. I would like to receive any pieces by late July at the latest. I would love to write a piece for you but we can do it your way so that you'll actually want to play it. :D I have a few things that are part of my style... A. Modalism B. Pieces written entirely in one other time signature as long as it is not 4/4 or 3/4. C. Very Conservative Forms for best comprehension of Melody. ... if you REALLY don't like any of those we can scratch the idea entirely... although they might.....grow on you. Things I'd like from you.... How long would you like it? How difficult? (I usually opt to make things easy and fun to play so that the meaning of the music really gets out there best.) I hope to hear back! Thanks, Karl

jujimufu
Win. How about you look at the takemitsu pieces for guitar? They're quite difficult and some of them are immensely beautiful :O Other than that, I might give it a go, actually :P Don't expect anything too easy, though... TheMeaningofLIfe
... I realize that thank you. If you read my post you would more carefully you would realize that I was asking specifically for what he would want so that he would want to play it. If it was something not up his alley he wouldn't want to play it.

I hope to hear back! Thanks, Karl Everything you asked is trivial. None of that really matters much to me. If it sounds nice to me and keeps me entertain as a player either technically or just aesthetically (or as the case may be non-aesthetically), I'll probably end up playing it. Win. Guest DOFTS
Is this an arrangement for another song? If so, it's a no go. If not, I'll give it a run through.
TheMeaningofLIfe
Absolutely not =). Why did you think that? P.S. Sorry about some of the beams on the eighth notes I fiddled with them for a half an hour in Finale then gave up.
Guest DOFTS
Well, I read arrange, so I just assumed. Thanks for clarifying for me.
TheMeaningofLIfe
Well, I read arrange, so I just assumed. Thanks for clarifying for me. lmfao Sorry. It was my absent mindedness that caused me to not put a space in the file info block under arranger.
Jubilee
Is this for the meridian? For people unfamiliar with the meridian, it is BIG, but has terrible acoustics. All music has to amplified.
Guest DOFTS
Yeah but what the hell? It doesn't have terrible acoustics. sure if 1,000 people show up, it'll need amplification, but come on, 1000 people aren't showing up. The acoustic for the audience range and their placement should be fine.
