nikolas Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 John Cage?!?!?!?!?!??? To hell you go! :D 4'33" is not music! It's not art! It's nothing! Pure nothing! How dare you? .... *hides behind SSC* Quote
Guest QcCowboy Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 by the way Seraphim, I can't say that I agree with your signature... saying that any of us are "mediocrities", while an amusing paraphrase from the film Amadeus, is far from the truth. I happen to believe there have been, since Mozart's time, many composers of equal, or even greater stature than he. Quote
SSC Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 It was part of his "We all suck except Mozart!" speech on the other thread you locked, remember? It's a bunch of nonsense, obviously, but since I'm not the one saying it I don't personally mind. People have all the right in the world to embarrass themselves amusingly on the interwebs. Quote
nikolas Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 SSC, you look SO beautiful in your avatar. Your eyes... Your lips... I wish I could kiss you! :D:D As for the mozart signature, let's not turn this thread into something serious, please. It's fine without too much seriousness... I, for one, agree. I'm a mozartian religious zealot. I believe that Mozart will come back to life to bring back those who believed in his all mighty music! That he will rise from the dead and bring back the rest of his pals, Bach and Beethoven, and all three will wake up Cage to beat him up for all eternity! See? It makes sense... Quote
SSC Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 @ niko: You should probably throw Athena in somewhere there, for good measure. And aren't I so pretty? :> Quote

MatthewSchwartz Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Ooo I know that melody. I think the title starts with a "G". >_< Edit: ^ Bizarre... Quote
SSC Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 It sounds suspiciously like movie/video game music. But, I don't know. :> Quote
Seraphim Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 ...! Well, in that case! Time Cube Here's MY religion! ... This will never get old. Ever. :O The text on that site is in urgent need of MSWord grammar check! Other than that, it actually does make a lot of sense if you read it carefully, after all, who doesn't believe that there are at least four days in one earth rotation? The problem with Dr. Gene Ray is that he has allowed himself to be limited in his vision by the 24 hour clock and other man-made encumberances. The reality is that each rotation contains infinite days. Therefore, as we travel through space we simultaneously cross a multiplicity of days. Once one truly understands this fundamental truth even the simple act of going to the bathroom will take on a whole new meaning and depth. Quote
