Shawaddywaddy Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 No replies? Some mods you have here on youngcomposers.com. Pathetic. Fix this already! Quote
robinjessome Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Dude, relax. It's all working fine for me and, apparently, everyone else. Check your browser: clear cookies and history, all that fun stuff. [EDIT] You've obviously solved the "problem". Quote
Nirvana69 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Everything works fine with me when I send messages. What internet browser are you using? Also, you're in the wrong forum if you expect a wall of replies in thirty minutes or less... :whistling: Quote
Flint Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 No replies? Some mods you have here on youngcomposers.com. Pathetic. Fix this already! LOL It's evening, on a saturday, and you expect moderators on a FREE site with content to be at your beck and call. That's pathetic. Quote
chopin Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Is this error still happening? How frequently, and was this during the day? My guess is that the server load was beyond capacity during the time you received the error. If that is the case, there is really not much we can do at the moment, until we switch to a dedicated. jujimufu Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 This has also been happening to me, most of the time. I'm using mozilla firefox 3.0.1 under Windows XP, but it also occurs on Kubuntu linux (Gutsy Gibbon) under the same browser. But I go about it by either changing the url to take me to the page I want to go or by clicking on the respective posts I want to read in the box that appears on top of every thread and which contains all the unread replies marked bold. That was a huge sentence with no commas. Quote
Mike Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Although I can find some evidence of this behaviour in our server logs, I can't for the life of me work out what link needs to be followed in order to reproduce it. Where/what is the link that, when followed, causes the problem to present itself? Quote
jujimufu Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Basically, whenever I read a thread and click on any page number (or the "next" and "previous" page arrows next to the page numbers), I get that error. I don't get that error, though, when I browse through pages of forums (e.g. composer's headquarters, repertoire etc). There is no specific link. Or rather, there are loads, I could provide you with a list of hundreds, if you so wished. Here are a few random ones: http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/pop-music-thread-go-post234407-thread_id%-3.html http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/so-what-you-working-post214441-thread_id%-2.html http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/podcast-pilot-discussion-thread-draft-updated-5-31-08-a-post227699-thread_id%-3.html Paradoxically, I tried to change pages in the "random" thread in the Archive forum and it changed pages properly. Out of curiosity I tried this to other threads in the Archive and all behaved perfectly, while in every other forum or forum category I get that annoying error. Hope I helped :) Let me know when you find out what it is. Quote
Mike Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I've upgraded the software that handles our forum URLs to its latest iteration. If the problem is still affecting you, juji (or indeed anyone else experiencing the issue), we'll get in touch with the software vendors to see what they think could be the matter. Quote
